They finish up their morning routine and they walk to their garden.
"Good morning, Alex." Their speaker says as they walk by the living room. Alex gets to the garden and they sit on the wooden bench and watch the birds fly around. The trees leaves rustle in the wind, and the clouds go by, still they squirm in their seat, unable to enjoy the things that they used to. A thump at the front of the house causes them to get up. They check the front door, thinking that it was a person knocking. They look down and notice a newspaper and their excitement drains out of their face like a flower wilts in the dry air. It must have been something important because they never get newspapers. The date on the newspaper reads august 30th 2058.
