The next day at school, rumors circulated. Kids at Pop's that night swore they saw Veronica and Betty kissing. Some people fully believed they were dating, some didn't care, and some.... denied it. Cheryl was the main protester. A spunky, red headed mean girl who really just wanted to be loved. Everyone thought she was just being a usual bitch, but really she was just jealous. You see, Cheryl had had a crush on Veronica for a long time. Ever since she laid eyes on the raven haired beauty. And she wasn't about to let her love be stolen by the girl she hated.
"Veronica! Hey!" Cheryl crooned as Veronica passed her locker. "Uh... hi Cheryl." Cheryl smiled a sickly sweet smile, making sure to bat her eyelashes. "Listen I was having some trouble on my math homework and I was thinking, you're great at math right? Why don't we study tonight?" Veronica blinked her eyes in shock. "Uh wha--" Cheryl quickly interrupted her, "Great! Your house. 8:00." Cheryl turned on her heel and strutted away.
"She asked you to study??" Betty raised an eyebrow and stared at Veronica. "Yeah... weird right?" "She must really want a friend." Veronica paced around and groaned. Betty grabbed her arm and pulled her over. "V... it's okay. I'm sure she just wants someone to talk to." Veronica gave a worried smile and Betty frowned. "C'mere..." Betty pulled Veronica into a passionate kiss, placing her hand on Veronica's cheek. Veronica pulled away, "I love you so much." She grinned gleefully and slowly backed away. "I gotta get going to my house so I don't leave Cheryl waiting. I'll text you later!" She ran off, leaving a happy Betty behind.
Veronica and Cheryl sat in Veronica's room. "Oh I love your posters Veronica! And the clothing! So tasteful!" Veronica rolled her eyes. "Hey Cheryl can we just focus on the math?" "Right, sorry." Veronica pointed at a problem and started to explain it, but soon realized that Cheryl's eyes were staring at her instead. "Veronica?" "Yes?" "Why are you with Betty.... she's so boring!!" Veronica opened her eyes wide, shocked. Is this really what Cheryl was here to do? "Cheryl I--" Cheryl leaned in and kissed Veronica. As much as Veronica wanted to pull away and run, she couldn't stop herself. She kissed back, and pulled Cheryl on top of her.
After about 30 mins of making out, Cheryl got up. "I better get home! See you at school.... V." Veronica wiped her mouth and glared at Cheryl, ashamed at what she'd done. "Get out."
The next day at school, Veronica approached Betty. "Betts! Hey girl! I missed you... Cheryl was sooo annoying!" Betty didn't reply, instead she forcefully shoved a binder into her locker. "Betty? You okay?" Betty sighed angrily and continued to shove books into her locker. "Betty." Veronica grabbed Betty's arm, stopping her. Betty froze. "B-Betty?" Betty lunged forward, and punched the locker next to hers so hard her knuckles started bleeding and there was a noticeable dent. "OH MY GOD!! BETTY??" Betty turned and glared at Veronica. "You think I don't know what you did with Cheryl last night? I'm not an idiot. Cheryl's little henchmen spread it all around." Betty looked at the dent in the locker and her bleeding fingers. She ignored it all and slammed her locker shut. She pushed Veronica to the side and continued down the hall. "Betty wait!" Betty didn't stop, and she didn't answer.
