"don't cry baby", shownu whispered as he stroked kihyun's soft hair, kihyun's eyes widened at the nickname, "i like you too".

2 months had past since their confessions, one month spent getting to know each other better and nearly one spent being an official couple. shownu had officially asked kihyun out after one of their many after school hang outs. kihyun had become a blushing mess and had to calm himself down before he could mutter a 'yes'. shownu had picked kihyun up and swirled him around before ending it with a big bear hug.

the two groups of friends being - jooheon, minhyuk, wonho and hyungwon - all hung out now for lunch and even met outside of school sometimes.whilst the whole group knew about shownu and kihyun dating, kihyun had pressured them to keep it a secret from everyone else. although kihyun had gotten much more confident these past two months, he was still so conscious about how other people talked about him and looked at him. he didn't want shownu to experience anything negative because they were together now. 

kihyun was sitting in his math class daydreaming. he was a hard worker and was in ways the 'teachers pet'. he had finished the assigned exercise before he daydreamed because he was a studious boy. he was thinking of what to get shownu for their one month anniversary. kihyun wasn't sure if shownu actually celebrated things like that, but kihyun wanted to. this was, his first relationship and kihyun wanted to do something special yet he had no idea what to do.

 his mind would also somehow always wonder back to shownu. to shownu's eyes that would nearly disappear when he laughed, shownu's scent that kihyun craved, the way shownu engulfed him in hugs because he was so tiny compared to him and much, much more. this time kihyun was replaying a moment in his head as he looked out the window. it was the time when shownu had slept over at his house last week.

the group of friends had a movie marathon at kihyun's house and one by one they started dozing off. shownu had suggested that kihyun go sleep in his room and kihyun invited shownu to sleep with him. he was shy and a bit apprehensive about it but they were already dating and there really was no room in their living room with jooheon being forced to sleep on the floor.

and so they had snuck off into kihyun's room. kihyun sat on his bed awkwardly while shownu acted his usual self. shownu had lifted the covers ushering kihyun to get in before he caught a cold. the two boys went under the duvet keeping a safe distance between them. there was a bit of silence before shownu moved his body so that he was closer to kihyun and he slid his hand under kihyun's head so that kihyun was using shownu's arm as a pillow.

kihyun had looked up and immediately blushed again seeing shownu's face so close. kihyun gulped but didn't break the eye contact. he felt an urge to look back. the room was dark and kihyun could only see shownu's eyes through the little moonlight coming in through the open spaces of his blinds. 

"kihyun", shownu said in a low voice.

kihyun only looked back and gave a small nod.

"you know, you're really beautiful"

if kihyun's face could have gotten even more red, then it did. he wanted to say so many smart things back like "no, you're even more beautiful" but the proximity of shownu was making it hard for him to even open his mouth.

and kihyun froze when he felt shownu edge closer to him. shownu rested his forehead on kihyun's forehead as he moved his face closer till their noses were touching. shownu waited a few seconds to see if kihyun was going to back away and when he didn't, he continued.

shownu's breath approached kihyun's face at a dizzying rate and kihyun stopped breathing when shownu's warm, plump lips touched his. it was a short kiss and shownu backed away as soon as it was finished wanting to see kihyun's reaction.
