Chapter 3- The Talk

Artemis's pov

I give Josh a quick peck on the lips before i start running towards the Victor's Village,my home. Once I make it I dont go home. Instead i make it to Grandpa Haymitch and Grandma Effie's house. They got married 10 years ago, when I was 5.(i was the ring bearer). I burst throught the door and just crash to the floor crying.

This cant be happening, this cant be happening, I think to my self.

"What happened?" I hear Grandpa Haymitch say. I look Up and see him standing there looking at me.

"Did I say that out loud?"  I say "yeah you did sweetheart." " I thought you called my mama sweetheart." "You are exactly like your mom." " Mama caught me seeing Josh." I tell hiim without breaking down. "Im not sure whats so upsetting about that," he says scratching his head "Maybe you should talk to Jayson about that." " Thanks for the help" I say sarcasticly and walk towards my house.

Papa opens the door and brings me into a tight hug. He looks worried. "Hi Papa" I mumble into his chest. "WHERE WERE YOU!?!?!?" screams Papa. Yeah he's upset. "I was at Granpa's house" I say. I feel really guilty now. "It's 9 o'clock!" he says yeling but just a little quiter now. Mama just came into the room.

"She was with a boy named Josh" mumbled Mama. Uh-oh. I'm so dead. "Katniss, what did you just say?" says Papa, confused. "ihaveaboyfriend." I say quickly. "What?" "I...have...a...boyfriend." I say loud enough so they can hear. "Who knew about this?" say Mama and Papa. "Only Jayson and Grandpa knew partialy." I say quietly I dont like cinfessing things or dragging other people into my mess. "JAY!" screaamed Mama. Like I said, I dont like dragging other people into my mess. Jay comes running down the stairs, his dirty blond curls are everywhere and his dark blue eyes are wide with confussion. I'm so not looking foward to this.
