Katniss' POV
I paced around the livingroom impatiently. Artemis and Jayson are 1 hour late from school. I know I shouldnt worry much because they are 1 hour late but since Snow is alive its dangerous. I jump skyhigh when I hear the door open and slam shut.
"Hi honey." says Peeta. He walks up to me and gives me a kiss. I kiss back and pull away. Which I dont normally do.
"whats wrong? Where are the kids?" asks Peeta worriedly. Im scared to tell him. He has an extremely strong bond with Artemis and I have one with Jayson. Maybe because he acts like Peet and she acts like me.
"I dont know where are the kids. They should have been here about a hour ago." I say biting my lip. I have a tendency to do that when im worried.
"Im calling the police." says Peeta running towards the phone. The police were the replacement for Peacekeepers. They are nicer and help with situation like this. I hear Peeta talking with an officer over the phone.
"OK thank you Officer Kenny." says Peeta and hangs up. He walks up to me and gives me a hug when I finally realize I was crying a river.
"They are going to be here in 5 minutes. They said they have lead." he says reassuringly. He strokes my back as he whispers conforting things in my ear.
Peeta's POV
I hug Katniss and cling to her like she was my lifeline. I was extremely worried about the kids and Katniss. Katniss shouldnt be in this kind of stress while she was carrying a baby. Artemis and Jayson can take care of themselves but im still worried. Snow is out there and I know what he is capable of and who knows what else.
" Its aldight. They'll be alright. All 3 of our babies will be alright." I say as I lean down and kiss Katniss' stomach. They is a tiny bump there but its still unnoticeable. We get out of our own worlds as we hear a knock on the door. I stand up cradling Katniss in my arms.
The officers walk in carrying a bruised and cut Jayson and a unconscious Artemis. She has a large gash on her leg and right arm, a bruised temple, black eye, and other cuts and bruises on her body. Jayson was a little less injured. He was able to walk on his own but had a cut on her left thigh, a black eye, and a couple bruises here and there.
"Where were they!?!?" I screamed/yelled to Officer Kenny.
"They were in an abandoned house in the Victor's Village. We were walking our way here when we heard Jayson screaming 'Dont touch her! Leave her alone!' Then we walked in and saw Snow's daughter Silvia cutting Artemis. " he said.
Katniss jump from my arms and engulfed Jayson into a hug. I go and take Artemis from an Officer's arms and craddle her and she opens her beatiful blue - gray eyes.
She starts to smile when she looks around the room when she jumps from my arms and rolls up into a ball clutching her head with her hands and start screaming.
