To Dick Grayson, Virgil Cain arrived in pretty much the typical fashion of most of the Bat kids; broken, bloodied, and certainly unconscious, carried into the Wayne Manor by the Batman with a call of "Alfred!". The only surprising thing: she looked exactly like him. You know, if he was a girl. Dick was sitting on the counter drinking a glass of chocolate milk. He heard the call of "Alfred!", but didn't feel inclined to go meet the still unconscious new sibling. That is, until Batman walked in carrying her, and Dick saw her face. Bloody, bruised, dirty, sure. But under that layer of grime... he knew her.

Batman got a faceful of chocolate milk.

While he wiped off his cowl and glared, Dick spluttered,"How- I mean- She- I- You- The circus-" Dick was shocked.

Batman did not comprehend. Here was his first son, looking at the bloodied, and still very much alive, body of Virgil Cain, like he knew her; like he'd seen a ghost.

Batman growled. "Do you know her?"

Dick could barely speak, he was white as a sheet and shaking to the point of collapsing.

"I- I- Circus- How did- She was- I-"

Alfred rushed into the kitchen, staring, dismayed, at the scene he was met with. Master Bruce, carrying a bloodied orphan he had no doubt picked up on patrol, staring daggers at a shaking and pale Master Dick who seemed to be on the point of a nervous breakdown.

Dick staggered, hand over his mouth, and fell to his knees, shaking like a leaf on the floor of the kitchen. Batman's eyes widened. He deftly handed the girl to Alfred, saying gruffly, "Patch her up," and knelt to pick up the raven haired thirteen year old.

The Batman carried the whimpering Dick to his bedroom, laid him on the bed, and left to go change into his alter ego, Bruce Wayne. When he returned, Dick was out of bed, pacing like a madman and muttering to himself.

"It doesn't make sense. I'm not supposed to have any relatives. None. But there she is, close enough in age and appearance to be my twin...." Suddenly he looked up at the millionaire leaning against the door jamb, startled.

"Oh! Sorry, Bruce, I was just... thinking out loud."

Bruce gave him a DaddyBats glare.

"You should go back to bed."

Dick shook his head.

"No, really I'll be fine."

Bruce gave him another signature glare.

"Either that or you meet the new girl."

Alfred bust in from where he was listening out in the hallway.

"Master Bruce, perhaps that is not the wisest of decisions considering his most recent, ahem, incident?"

Dick was silent for a moment. Then he brushed past both men and went down the mission pole to the Batcave to meet his new, mysterious sibling.

Alfred and Bruce Wayne followed soon after.
