Autumn Days

The morning sun shines through my window
Casting a comforting light against the wall, and warming the side of my face
The leaves outside are in perfect harmony
Reds, yellows, oranges, browns
A perfect day for a walk
I pull on the sweater you bought me
That one time when we went window shopping
And I step onto the sidewalk
Its a slow day
I walk to the coffee shop
The barista welcomes me
It smells of coffee and pumpkin spice
I walk further
The cemetery looks welcoming, as leaves flutter down onto the graves, and little birds hop about
I walk past
There is a book store on the corner
About a block away
It smells of new paper and it inspires me
Today will be my autumn day
