The sister

They followed me out of that room and into another. It was a weapon room.  It was a huge room, with weapons on tables, in glass cases....Imagine it... all kinds of weapons you could imagine were at our disposal.

"Oh my god, this is a lot of weapons!" I said looking at all them.

"Hehe this is heaven," Max said grinning. He looked at the AK 47.

Lexi looked around and said, "Oooh I call dibs!!" and ran to a table with a SRS sniper rifle. "I can't wait to shoot with this baby!"

Jessie looked for a weapon. She spotted a compound bow and arrow. She said, "What is this, the medieval times?" She looked it over and shrugged, "Well it's something so I guess I could use it."

Alice looked and thought, "I wonder which one will suit me."  She looked at all the weapons. "Hmm I'll take this 9mm PDW, CA.38 and a few knives." I took up the guns and put it in my boots. The knives went into my side pockets.

"Well guys, let's suit up," John said rubbing his hands, smiling.

We all chose our weapons for defence. Now we just had to find a way out of this place. I just hope we all can make it out alive.

We walked out of the room, fully armed with guns, grenades, machetes, bows and arrows you name it. You could say we were walking arsenals.

We walked down the hall. Bare walls, lights flickering in this abandoned building; or what seems abandoned.

Max who was in the lead stopped us.

"Hold up, I hear something."

We looked around. I was scared at what we might see. I didn't think my life would turn out like this, never thought the world would end in an apocalypse because a stubborn scientist didn't listen to facts.

"Oh how I wish my sister was here with me. She would know just how to calm me down, she was always here for me no matter what," I thought.

I missed my sister more than ever, especially since I just remembered I had one! I wonder if she's still alive. I want to see her and get through this together, as sisters.

I pondered and tried to recover any memories I can about her.

"Maybe we should split up and find what made that noise," Dean suggested.

"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Jess asked looking at him.

"Well..."

"Let's just go!" Max said dragging me with him. Lexi and Dean followed us.

"So..see anything?" I asked with a knife in hand.

"Not yet," Lexi said poking behind crates with her gun very close to her, in a position can tell you that she will shoot anything that moves.

Then we saw something walking towards us, well not "something" more like "someone", another zombie.

Dean saw it first. "What the hell is that!"

"It's obviously a zombie," Lexi said rolling her eyes.

"Stay back, s-s-stay back," Dean says backing away from the creature as it slowly walked toward him.

"Oh wow, you're telling it to stay back like if it was gonna listen to you," Lexi said laughing.

"What am I suppose to do?" Dean asked looking at her.

"Well, for starters you could shoot her," she said pointing at her.

She was pale, very creepy and had long black hair-

"Oh my god, that's Britt!" I shouted, mouth agape.

"Britt who?" Lexi asked in confusion.

"My sister that I told you I just remembered I had."

I slowly walked towards Britt, the zombified version of her at least. I know I said that I wanted to see my sister but not like this.

"What are you, crazy? Get away from her!" Max said pulling me back.

"But, she's my sister," I said trying to get away from him.

Max had a firm, iron grip on me that I found it useless to try and get away.

Dean aimed his gun at her. He shot her five times but she was still standing. It was unbelievable.

Lexi took a shot with hers and this time she stayed down.

"I shot her five times and she was still standing!" he said and checked to make sure she's dead for real.

"Well the bitch ain't standing now," Lexi said, putting her sniper rifle around her shoulder.

I could feel a tear streaming down my face. Watching them kill my sister was like an arrow to the heart. I know it was for the best because she had turned into one of them, but....

Dean asked, "Are you ok?" which pulled me out of my thoughts.

"Oh, yeah I'm fine, let's just go," I said walking out.

I waited outside for them and saw the rest of the team.

"Did you find what made the noise?" Jessie said as she walked up to me.

"Yeah. Tell the team to meet me at the weapons room."

I walked off. I just needed some time to think.

My sister's dead. My sister that I just remembered I even had is dead, all because of a scientist that thought he was so smart. I swear if I find him I will shoot him and throw him to the horde!

I punched the wall in anger. Of course I was angry. She didn't deserve what she got. Because of them, innocent people will die and the city, the country will turn into a warzone.

He's gonna pay and he better get ready cause I'm coming.
