Alice's POV.

The noise became louder. We were frantically looking around to find the source of the groaning.

Lexi went closer to a pile of boxes and looked behind it. Something jumped out at her.

"What the hell is that!" she said backing away.

"I have no idea but that thing isn't normal," John said.

It had yellow eyes, pale, rotting skin, claws and sharp teeth. It slowly walked towards them.

"Looks like the undead to me," I told to them.

"Well whatever that thing is don't let it get near me," said Jessie.

"How are we gonna kill that thing? We're unarmed and there's no telling what that thing will do if we get close," Max turned to me. "Any ideas?"

I looked at the creature. "At the moment no."

Dean looked around the room. "No weapons, great!"

Suddenly, I ran up to the zombie and twisted its neck. Then I looked at the broken glass on the floor. I took it up and stabbed the zombie in the head.

"Did I just do that?" I asked amazed.

"Uh yeah you did," Jessie said surprised.

"What just happened?" Max said.

"How do you know that will work?" Lexi asked looking at me.

As they were asking questions, I had a sudden flashback.

I was talking with a scientist while others were up and about doing their jobs.

"Sir, this virus is too dangerous, you will cause a plague, an outbreak!"

"Ma'am you do not tell me how to do my job, you're merely just Head of Security!" Dr. Jace said.

"But sir-"

"That's enough Ms. Winters! Go and do your job." He left and went into the lab along with other scientists.

I went to talk to Brittney. "What's gonna happen? If they're gonna do as they plan, how will we stop them?" I asked her worriedly.

"Alice I'm worried too, but if it makes you feel any better I was eavesdropping on Dr. Jace and learned that the virus will create zombies out of innocent people and the only way to kill them is to destroy the brain. They won't be able to come back as one of them if we kill the person's brain."

"Thanks B, at least we know how to kill them," I said and smiled.

"Anytime and if they do create it, then I'll always be by your side. I won't let you turn into those creatures, it will do bad for your complexion," Brittney said and laughed.

I laughed a little too. "You always know how to cheer me up don't you sis."

"You know it!" she smiled. "Love you little sis."

"Love you too B."

"We're gonna get through this together, I promise," Brittney said looking at me.

"You don't know that," I said, "suppose you get turned, I'll have to do it solo."

"Then I'll try not to turn into those freaks, they're like make-up gone wrong."

We both laughed.

Lexi was snapping her fingers in front of my face. "Hello!"

"Yeah I'm here," I said.

"You blanked out on us," Jessie said.

"I'm fine, I just remembered something...."

"What's that?" Max asked while looking around.

"Well, my name is Alice I was head of security for the GeniCorps division and I had a sister who also worked there. She had long brown hair and fair skin."

"Well at least we know your name and don't have to call you beautiful stranger," Max said and smirked.

I rolled my eyes.

"Come on let's go," I said walking out.

They all followed me.
