The Love Bug

Chapter 1

Keith's pov

We were all ready to head out on a mission to collect some sort of stone to help fix the rest of the castle ship. While Allura tells us about the planet I space out looking at lance and his cute but hot face, Shiro sees me staring and gives me a little smirk. Shiro is the only one who knows about me liking Lance, but I can see Pidge and Hunk are catching on. They pare me and him together on missions all the time, he just bickers about me being his "rival" even though I've done nothing to him. After Allura finished talking about the mission she told us we can explore the planet freely since nothing harmful inhabited it.

I walk to my room and put on a new shirt and pants and my jacket along with my knife just in case. I quickly look in the mirror and do a double take to see that it started growing in again, "SHIT, well I'll dye it when I get back it's not that noticeable".

I walk out of my room to see Pidge with all their tech put into a backpack, most likely to find out stuff about the planet. I brush it off and keep walking till I find everyone else in the lounge waiting for us to land. I plop myself down on the couch next to hunk.

"So Keith I was wondering if you wanted to explore this planet with me?" Lance said out of no where.

"Uh, sure I have no reason to decline" I say. I'm going on a date with him? Is it a date? Are we bonding? So many questions were circulating through mind at once. I didn't have much time to think about it since Allura told us over the intercom that we had landed and we were free to explore.

Lodge was the first off and they were ready to test different things, I could see it on their face. Next was Hunk who went around probably looking for ingredients for a meal he'll make. Allura, Coran and Shiro went off to find the stone that they needed. That left me with Lance,he grabbed my hand and pulled me off into the forest where we saw all different kinds of colorful plants and trees that were taller than the redwoods on Earth.

Lances pov

OMG I wasn't expecting him to actually accept coming with me to explore the planet, I was expecting the angry Keith I knew from the Garrison, the Keith that didn't look at you twice in the matter of ten minutes yes I may or may not have counted. Well he's here and nice and hopefully queer most of all, wow Lance get your head out of the dirty gutter and have a nice walk with the person you wish to be your boyfriend.

We walk around for a little bit just in peaceful silence that we both enjoyed while talking in the view. "I still don't understand why Pidge gave us these testing pods out of everyone here, they know we're either going to loose or drop and break one." Keith replays confused and concerned at the same time, aww he's cute when he's confused.

We walk for a little bit while I talk about the last simulator that I did with Pidge and Hunk before all this crazy things happened then I start to notice that Keith is having more trouble than he should be.

Keith's pov

Not long after Lance and I talked about the pods that Pidge gave us so we could bring them back some samples of stuff, I felt a small ich in between my neck and ear I inched it and went on. I stated to feel fatigue while Lance was blabbing about some simulator he had to do or something I didn't care he just seemed so cute, and handsome right now.

My walking starts to get wobbly and cant hold my own weight as I slump to the ground and fall asleep thinking if Lace and his cute smile and mischievous smirk or his laugh that makes me feel all tingly inside when he does.

Lances pov

I was watching Keith's movements then he slumped on the ground and fell asleep! Who does that?!

Well I guess it was about time to head back anyway so I awkwardly try to hold Keith with Pidges science stuff in my backpack. I then notice a bug behind Keith's ear that I quickly put into one of the chambers for Pidge to do there science things on to see what happened to Keith. I then carry him princess style back to the ship where everyone else is, to my best opinion.

Lances pov

I arrive at the castle to find only Pidge there, in the lounge area collecting data about the planet. "Hey you're back Lance, how'd the date go with the angry mullet" I laugh but then they look over at me carrying lance princess style and almost loose composure till they ask what happened.

"Keith just randomly slumped on the ground when we were walking and passed out, I'm worried about him" I state not knowing what's going to happen when he wakes up, or even if he does wake up.

"Okay, okay I get that you want to be a protective boyfriend and all but I need to check him, was there anything at all weird about him when you went to pick him up?" Pidge said in a serious tone.

I place Keith down slowly onto one of the couches in the lounge before I reach for the pod holding the bug," Well when I went to pick him up this bug was attached to his neck, it might have something to do with the scenario?"

I hand the pod over to Pidge where they start doing all this since stuff to it, but it still being alive. They finally look over to me and state " It looks like a sort of substance is made through its skin to make the victim fatigue and tired, that's all I can gather now when Allura, Coran and Shiro return with the stone I'll ask them about it to see if they know anything."

"Okay, thanks for the information, I'll just lay Keith in his bed to rest until the others come back" I thank Pidge and start getting ready to carry Keith to his room.

"Also you should know not to do anything perverted to him while he's asleep even though he likes you back" Pidge states while I walk out the door with Keith on my back. I blush thinking about Keith likeing me back, my face gets redder with Pidge thinking that I would do something to Keith in his sleep.

While I was daydreaming I didn't notice that I had arrived at his door. I walked towards it and it opens, handy I then go to lay Keith on top of his covers not bothering to tuck him in. I then look at his dresser to see, black.... hair dye? Why would Keith, the guy with a mullet and black hair need hair dye? I brush it off and walk out of his room trying not to be a creep that watches people in there sleep and goes to my room to sleep until th  rest of the group gets to the castle.

I stay, lying down while thinking over the possibilities of what's wrong with Keith, I then dose off thinking about him being cute in general, but not even knowing what his smile looks like or his happy laugh sounds like.
