Mirae slowly walked toward their table, with her food tightly gripped in her hands. Everyone in the cafeteria was staring at something that had never been done. A non-popular was going to sit at a popular table.
"Mira! Sit here," Jaerin scooted over on the bench making space for Mirae in between her and Cheryl. Sitting on the table were a few other people, mainly girls. One had a rather friendly look on her face, whilst the other three had an awkward smile.
"Sorry about the stares, it comes with being popular," Jaerin started before turning to the other girls sitting on the table, "Ok, so we noticed that you don't really hang with anyone, so we wanted to introduce you to these girls we found!"
Cheryl started off with the one with the smile, "That's Keisha, she's not as mean as she looks and she likes meeting new people, aka you. Next, we have Nari, she's totally talented and super nice, I think you two will get along really well. There's Delaney, she pretty quiet but apparently she's funny when she opens up so look forward to that, and finally we have Jihye, she's seriously smart and really cool." All the girls waved and I slightly waved back.
"You must be thinking to yourself, why are we introducing you to people, well we realised that you need to focus on other things, so maybe in the morning you can have people you hang with, so you don't need to wonder around classes leaving stuff behind...and you can have way more people to text instead of worrying about one person." The smile on Jaerins face contradicted the look in her eyes, but I decided to ignore it and think on the positive side.
Maybe things could really change.
