Cody POV
February 10
"Alright boys we have twelve days until Maxx's birthday, and this year there is going to be more than a cake thrown at his face." I said speaking quietly so Maxx wouldn't here me.
"Can't we just plan his birthday when it comes closer to the time?" Zach said complaining.
"Do you even know me! No we can not wait till last minute this party has to be special." I said stating my point.
"Why aren't you ever excited when it's my Birthday?" Dan moving his gaze to the floor.
"I hate to break it to you, but right now Maxx is my number one priority." I said giving him the benifit of the doubt.
"Next time you want a party I'm going to pour a gallon of beer on top of your head." Dan said leaving the room.
"He has a point." Zach said leaving the room behind Dan.
"I guess I am on my own now." I said to myself in my head.
February 15
I sat in front of my small wooden desk that had that party planning. Now all I had to do was convince Dan and Zach to helping me get the party set up. That is when I made my way to the living room where Dan and Zach were playing video games.
"I have told you once and I will tell you a second time, you are going to help plan the party I am throwing for Maxx." I said trying to get their attention.
"I already told you that I would not help you plan this stupid party." Dan said not sparing a glance.
"What do you-" Zach got cut off by Dan before he could finish his sentence.
"Like I said before we will not help you plan the party." Dan said giving a glare, "I have better things I would rather be doing."
"Why are you being so selfish?" I asked shooting lasers.
"I'm the one being selfish... your the one being selfish." Dan muttered under his breath staring blankly at his computer screen.
I walked out of the room before Dan would continue to throw more yells. There was no way I was going to get them to help me. I was one my own now.
February 21
"What do you mean you won't be making cakes tomorrow!" I yelled at the employee over the phone.
"Hello, hello?" I said hoping they didn't hang up.
After the employee hung up on me I went to my room to go grab my wallet to grab the decorations.
Once I arrived at the party store I walked to customers service. I asked for my order for the decorations to the female employee working at the desk.
"Yes hello I had an order placed here a couple of days ago." I said.
"What name is it under?" The employee asked while she searched for the order.
"Cody... Cody Carson." I said showing a slight smile.
"Alright sir we have that the order you placed will not arrive until February 24th." She said looking at the computer screen.
"I need those decorations by tomorrow." I said a little annoyed.
"I'm sorry we won't be able to get the order to you until the 24th of this month." She said looking my way.
"Umm... ok. I would like to cancel the order I placed." I said rubbing the top of my head.
"I'm sorry your order has already been shipped I can not cancel the order you placed." She said looking annoyed.
"Alright... how much is it?" I asked worried for the answer.
I'm pretty sure my bottom jaw hit the bottom of the floor. I didn't reliaze how much money I spent on party decorations. How was I supposed to get $387 in the next three days. That is all I thought about on my way home. That is when I passed a liquor store that had a couple of minutes before closing.
"Can you give me the cheapest beer and wine you sell here?" I asked running out of ideas.
February 22
Right before Maxx would walk through the front door I laid out all the bottles of wine and beer I bought the night before. In total I had about 13 beer bottles and 8 bottles of wine. This was the party I did not plan, but turned out to be last minute. Here comes Maxx.
"Happy Birthday Maxx!" I yelled while Maxx put his bag on the floor.
"Thank you... wait is the beer I smell." Maxx said looking for the bottles.
Maxx made his way to the kitchen walking into a room packed with beer and wine stacked on top of counters, cabinets, etc. Maxx's eyes showed that he was astonished with the gesture presented by Cody.
"How is it?" Cody asked nervous he didn't do enough.
"Well... to be honest there should be blasting music, and a crowd full of people, but this is nice." Maxx said jokely.
"Actually there was supposed to be a nice dinner, balloons, flowers, tons of gifts, and other stuff I can't remember." I said rubbing the back of my neck.
"What happened to that idea?" Maxx said sparing him a glance.
"Well... I didn't reliaze I accidently spent over $200 on balloons." I said looking at the ground.
"That would have been perfect, but this alcohol is kind of tempting, should we start?" Maxx said raising his eyebrows.
Maxx and Cody instantly shut up and started to open the bottles and pour some glasses. All of the labels of each bottle was taken off, and labeled with a number. Since there was over 30 bottles each bottle was labeled a number 1-30.
Maxx and Cody started with the first bottle it had a fruity taste to it. They moved onto the second bottle, and this alcohol had a strong flavor. Dan and Zach were missing out on the fun, so they joined them by the 4 bottle.
Eventually Dan and Zach left by the 28 bottle. There stomachs could not hold the extra alcohol.
"Hey hey Maxx you look really pretty right now." Cody said moving closer.
"I know I do. You don't have to tell me twice." Maxx said a sassy hair flip.
"You know I want to scream to the world and tell them how no one can compare to your beauty." Cody said with a seductive look.
"Please don't, I don't need more embarrassing memories." Maxx said rolling his eyes playfully.
"Can I sleep with you tonight Maxxy?" Cody said giving him the puppy eye look.
Maxx thought deeply to himself about the consequences, "Come on Cody."
Maxx and Cody made it to the room, but Maxx was given a shock from Cody. Cody placed his plump lips on Maxx's exchanging the alcohol sent. Maxx was taken aback, but put him into his grip. They stayed like that for a couple of minutes before pulling apart.
"Cody." Maxx said.
"Maxx." Cody said.
The Next Morning
Maxx POV
It was early in the morning, and Maxx struggled to open his eyes. The daylight shown through the small windows made the room brighter than necessary. After his eyes were able to open up fully he sat up at a slow pace making sure to not become dizzy.
When he sat up he looked over to see a half naked Cody sleeping right next to him. His first instinct was to scream, and that is what he did.
Cody jolted right up ready to calm Maxx down.
"What are you doing in my bed?" Maxx asked scared out of his mind.
"We didn't do..." Maxx asked not ready for the answer.
"What! No no we did not." Cody said trying to make sure that Maxx will calm down.
Maxx let out a breath he didn't know he was holding, "That would have been bad if we did."
"Yes it would have been." Cody said letting a giggle escape his lips.
The two men stood from the bed and got ready for the day.
