~Narumi's POV~

Naruto and I were cleaning the Hokage monument as Iruka-sensei sat there, making sure we didn't run away.

"This sucks, loser." Naruto mumbled. Iruka-sensei got a bit angry.

"You're not going home until you've both cleaned off every single dropped of paint." He said down to us causing us to glare up at him.

"So what!? It's not like there's someone at home waiting for us!" I glared before going back to scrubbing the paint off.

Iruka-sensei looked down at us for awhile before looking up at the sky to think.

"Naruto? Narumi?" Both Naruto and I looked up at him and glared.

"What do you want now sensei?" Naruto spat.

"Well, I was just thinking." Iruka-sensei sat there with a thoughtful look and placed his thumb and forefinger on his chin. "Maybe after both of you cleaned all this up. I could take you out for some ramen, the good stuff. What do you think?" He said, scratching his cheek and looking into the distance before looking down at us.

Naruto and I looked at each other before looking back up at Iruka-sensei.

"Now that's some serious motivation! We'll have this cleaned up in no time!" We both said at the same time.

~time skip~

Iruka-sensei, Naruto and I were at Ichiraku Ramen restaurant eating.

"Naruto? Narumi?" Iruka-sensei asked.

"Huh...?" We both asked, looking at him with our mouths full of ramen.

"Why would you do that to the Hokage monument?" Iruka-sensei questioned, waving one hand around while looking at us. "Don't you know who they are?"

"Of course we do." I said, eating the rest of my ramen while nii-san started slurping the rest of his.

"Basically those who get the Hokage title were the strongest shinobi of their time, right? *pause* and among them was the 4th Hokage, a hero who saved the village from the nine-tailed fox." Naruto said.

'He was also our father.' I added mentally to Naruto's explanation.

"Then why did both of you...?"

"'Cause I'm going to be greater than any of them. Me. Naruto. The next Hokage!" Naruto-nii pointed his chopsticks at Iruka-sensei. "A ninja legend! Then everyone will have to stop disrespecting me. Believe it!"

"What about you, Narumi?" Iruka-sensei asked.

"Hm? Well, first I'll help nii-san with his dream and than from there I'll become an ANBU captain." I said, looking down.

"Uh, by the way, I kinda want to ask a little favour, sensei." Naruto said causing me to look up at him with a slightly raised eyebrow.

"What? You want a second cup of ramen?"

"Uh-uh."

"I do!" I chimed in and Iruka-sensei got me one before onii-chan continued.

"I-I want to try on your headband, please?!" Naruto-nii puts his hands together in a way of pleading and did a small bow.

"Oh this?" Iruka-sensei holds his headband and moves it slightly. "No way. You can only wear the leaf headband when you finally graduate from the academy and become a shinobi. You gotta pass the test tomorrow."

"That's so uncool! Believe it!" Nii-san pouts.

"Hey? Is that why you took off your goggles?" Iruka-sensei asked.

"I, uh, want another bowl!" Onii-chan demanded. Iruka-sensei and I laughed.

"Sure kid," Iruka-sensei orders another bowl for Naruto while I finish the second one I got earlier.

"Onii-chan, we got to get going." I said as I stood up.

"Okay!" He said with his mouth full of ramen before he drank the rest of the soup and stood up.

"Thanks for the meal." I said and Naruto-nii nodded.

We then started making our way home.
