Insomniac

I laid down after a long day
Hoping to catch some sleep
I smothered myself with blankets
As my mind sank in deep
I thought about tomorrow
And the journeys that will be
I finally closed my eyes
But I couldn't fall asleep
So I tossed and turned
Through all of the night
I tried counting sheep
Or closing my eyes tight
I drank a warm glass of milk
And even kept my blankets light
But it was useless to me
As I kept pulling the blankets
And punching my pillow ruthlessly
As the clock stuck one
And my will to fight was done
I just simply rolled onto my back
And that's the story of a insomniac
