We all got in kyle's car and drove to the 'secret' location. Kyle forced Josh to sit in the back seat since I was the guest which made me laugh and then made kyle laugh because he thought my laugh was "so strange that it is contagious" I'll take that as a compliment. As Kyle and I were laughing at Josh pouting in the back seat alone I realised I hadn't had this much fun in my life since I visited the aquarium at 7 years old and at this moment it felt it was just going to get better.

Just as Kyle turns up the music, a familiar beat starts playing. Ruff Ryder's Anthem by DMX. Josh attempts to rap but mostly mumbles the lyrics.
"Hey, This is my song" I hear Kyle and watch him turn it up louder and rap along a few words with the music. I also feel tempted as I know this song word for word.

I quietly rap along and watch Josh completely mess up the lyrics.

"I don't think I've met a girl that knows a classic rap word for word. Actually, I never met a girl who knows more than 'lose yourself'" Kyle laughs while driving and looking at me from time to time me waiting for a reply
'Honestly, I just like old Hip Hop and RnB"
"Alright, Get your phone out" I hear josh say. "Why? It's almost dead" I gesture to the phone screen. "Well you still have time to add my snapchat" He snatches my phone and begins going through my apps which makes my hands sweat from anxiety. I attempt to grab my phone but failed and josh leans back so he's out of reach never leaving his eyes off my screen.

"That's it, no more mr nice guy!" I take off my seat belt and lean my body towards the back seat to grab my phone.

We had just driven past my house which made me even more curious as to where we were headed. Just as I thought that, kyle slowed the car down and turned into a driveway.

"Oh a house" I said a bit disappointed. Kyle laughed at me and Josh leaned forward to inbetween the front seats. "Not just a house. It's my house. What were you expecting?" Josh explained to me.

"Well first of all I thought we were going somewhere cool like a tree house or a hidden den in the woods or something." They both looked at me like I was an alien.

"Someone's been watching too much teen movies" Josh mumbled to himself as he got out and ran to the front door to unlock it. I laughed at his comment and pulled out my phone to reply to a new text from my mother in the car. I felt kyle's eyes watching me "Have you ever tried it?"

I put my phone in my bag and looked up at him. "Tried what?" His arm went up pointing his hand towards Josh still struggling to find his keys.
"Oh no, but I don't have a problem with people smoking it" he watched as I talked "I was just a little taken aback because Josh was at a funeral, not just a funeral but his baby sister's."

"Yeah not many know this, but, he has some sort of panic disorder and this really does help calm him especially since he refuses to take his prescribed meds but I don't blame him a mix of meds taken daily doesn't sound so fun" Kyle looks down avoiding eye contact which is something I usually do myself.

"I suffer general anxiety disorder it's nothing as serious though except when I sweat to death when someone just asks for directions." I pull a smile to stop the awkward atmosphere.

"Has that situation happened before?"
He asks smiling and holding back a laugh.

"Yes. I don't want to talk about it" I run to Josh after he realised he has his keys in his hand the whole time and unlocks the front door.

Walking in the house looked like it was straight out of a house makeover Tv show. Unreal. Everything was unnaturally neat and perfect and the decor was ridiculous. A cat figurine but not a family photograph in sight. Very neutral colours. Black, shades of brown and white. This feels like a film set, not a cozy home at all.
