"Watch where you're going mudblood." Draco spits at me. I don't understand why Malfoy is so cruel to me. I mean I'm even in the same house as him, but he sees me as dirt. I've never even talked shit about him, and I'm not friends with that horrid trio in Gryffindor. I just don't get why he dislikes me so much. I am a muggle born, but I'm not awful.
"Y/N, Draco, you will be partners this semester for potions." Our professor says.
"What!?" We say simultaneously.
"But professor he hates me!" I protest.
"You two will have to figure out how to get along. Now this first project we will be working on will require you and your partner to spend some time outside of the classroom." He says to the class.
"I can't believe I am partnered with the likes of a filthy mudblood." Draco spits under his breath.
"You aren't any better, Malfoy. Believe me I'm crying on the inside." I say and roll my eyes.

After class Draco walks out fast and I have to jog to catch up. I may not like the bastard, but I want a good grade.
"Draco, wait up."
"Stay away Y/LN." He says.
"We have to work on this project, I want to get a decent grade. Please can we just go somewhere and work. It doesn't have to be in front of anyone. Because God forbid anyone see you with a 'mudblood'."
"Fine." He states.

We found a quiet place in the castle, away from everyone. Draco acts annoyed the entire time he's with me, even though I haven't done anything.
"Draco, why do you hate me so much?" I ask softly, while still reading through our text book.
"I don't hate you to be specific I just hate your kind. It's unnatural and shouldn't be allowed." He states.
"It's not my fault. And I've been nothing but semi-nice to you." We both snicker.
"Yeah I guess Y/N."
"Whoa, you called me Y/N."
"Yeah, why is that weird?" He asks.
"Because you always call me by my last name. I don't think I've ever heard you say my first name." I say.
"Don't get use to it." He winks.
Did he actually just freaking wink at me? Has he gone mad?
