13. His Goodbye

3rd P.O.V.

"Okay, before we start even thinking about learning a new jutsu, ya gotta finish with the one before." Kirito stated as they went back to the training grounds after talking with Naruto and the others and a quick lunch. "Riku, Sachiko, both of ya haven't even gone halfway with the fusion Jutsu!" The only female present huffed and turned away not satisfied. "Nagisa... you're fine, I'll teach ya."

Sachiko glared at her brunette teammate as she felt jealous. Riku on the other hand walked away dragging the greenette with him while they practiced. "Ne, sensei, is there a reason why you wanted to teach me a new jutsu?" Nagisa looked at his sensei suspiciously.

"I guess I'm caught. It's about that eye of yours-"

"I know." Nagisa cut Kirito off. "I know because of it I will die soon. That's why my mother is on her death bed. Why my father works hard and so we barely see him. This is a curse of the Sunahara clan. The mirai eye." Kirito stared at his studentwho looked great pain as he started to explain his eye. "In exchange for vision of the future it will start to deteriorate the life of the user as it's used."

"I see. So in other words it's a last resort?" Nagisa nodded. "I see." There was a moment of silence, till they heard Riku's and Sachiko's jutsu in progress. "Let's get started on the jutsu shall we?"

"Yeah. But knowing me, this is gonna be easy." Nagisa smirked with confidence. If only he knew.

It first started with hours, then days and finally weeks. Word got out about Orochimaru's death by the hands of Sasuke. So Tsunade sent a team to gather information or capture Itachi or Sasuke, leaving only Sachiko out of her team that was on standby. She was not happy staying in Konohagakure while her teammates and friends go on a mission.

Sitting on the riverbank in the late afternoon Sachiko sat eating dangos. "So unfair, dattejane." She mumbled as she harshly ripped the dango off the stick.

"What's unfair, kiddo?" Immediately Sachiko jumped up and hugged Jiraiya who chuckled and patted her head. "Did you really miss me that much?" She nodded, Jiraiya chuckled again and hugged his adopted daughter.

"I haven't seen you in ages, dattejane!" Sachiko pouted and let go of the hug. "Did you forget about me?!" She raised a skeptical eyebrow.

"Trust me kiddo, I couldn't even if I tried." Sachiko looked at Jiraiya in disbelief causing for him to laugh. "Of course I didn't. I wanted to give you this." Jiraiya took off a massive red and white scroll that was on his back, hidden from Sachiko's sight. "I was given this by one of the messenger toads to give to you. Apparently for some reason, the red pandas want to form a contract with you."

A big smile was plastered on the greenette's face as soon as she saw the scroll. "Really, dattejane!"

"You sure haven't changed a bit." Jiraiya smiled warmly as he gave the giant scroll. "Hey, kiddo." Jiraiya started as Sachiko gave him her full attention. "I'm going to be off on a mission, so I won't be here for long."

"Eh? But I just got to see you again." The mood started to turn grim as a tear started to slip from Sachiko. "I haven't even got to properly spend a day with you since you've always been too busy." Suddenly the teen was enveloped into a hug.

"Next time we meet, how about we spend a day together? Just you and me." Jiraiya proposed which Sachiko accepted immediately. Little did she know Jiraiya was hoping that day will far far away in the future.

"You better keep your promise, ya old perv." Sachiko smirked at his nickname.

Jiraiya sighed. "Ahh, I remembered when you used to call me Tou-chan. Not this stupid nickname." Sachiko giggled. "Well I better head off, kiddo." Sachiko stayed silent as Jiraiya started to walk away. As Jiraiya made it to the gate as he started to leave the village in a flash he was hugged from behind.

"I'll miss you Tou-chan."

"I'll miss you too, kiddo. I love you."

~Time Skip~

They're mission was a failure. Naruto was told to go straight to the Hokage's office. Inside was a crestfallen Tsunade and two elder toads with a confused Sachiko. "Hey what's going on?" Sachiko shrugged.

"I'm sorry, Jiraiya.... he was killed in action.
