Sorry for the short chapter but it had to end at that point to leave you with a cliff hanger.
Chapter 16: How To End A Life
(Beth’s POV)
When I focus on the person standing in the doorway, I outline him as Ryan. Wait, what? Ryan is lying next to- I turn my head to who I’m lying on, And it isn’t Ryan. It’s Adam. I scream and burst out crying.
‘ADAM! HOW COULD YOU! I THOUGHT YOU WERE RYAN!’ I scream at him after getting out of bed.
‘Yeah use every excuse in the book, YOU BITCH!’ Ryan screams in my face as I try to calm him down. I try holding his hand and I’m just standing in my underwear. He throws my hand off him and pushes me into the wall. He runs downstairs as I grab my dress and slip it on quickly. I get back downstairs to see Ryan saying goodbye to mine and his friends. He runs out the door and I follow quickly.
‘Ryan! PLEASE!’
‘I can’t believe you’d do that to me! I LOVE YOU! You heartless SLUT’ he screams while running to the pavement.
‘DON’T YOU DARE CALL ME THAT! I’M DRUNK! I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I’M DOING! PLEASE DON’T RUN AWAY FROM ME! I LOVE YOU AND I ALWAYS WILL! IF YOU GO, I’LL HAVE NOTHING TO LIVE FOR!’
Ryan turns around while he’s in the middle of the road and screams ‘YOU’LL HAVE ADAM TO SHAG, YOU DISGUSTING FILTH!’ he shouts.
Then he turns to the side and all I see is car head lights lighting his eyes up making them glow. I see the fear in his eyes. The car mows him down and I scream at the top of lungs.
‘RYAN! NO!’
I rush towards his lifeless body and feel his pulse. Nothing. I scream even more and hold his lifeless yet still warm body in my arms, cradling him in my arms. It shouldn’t have ended this way!
