If you believe that Jesus is God, who came to earth to die so that we can be saved from the punishment that our sins deserve, this is how you get saved: -Oh, and one more thing. You can't just do this and keep on living the way you are, you need to repent, to turn away from the sin, and follow Jesus for the rest of your life. Once you are saved you are made like new, you can't be the same.
Follow this basic prayer. It does not have to be limited to what is here, say what's on your heart.
God, I believe that Jesus is your son who died for the forgiveness of sins. I also believe that You raised Him from the dead. I know that I am a sinner, and I ask for your forgiveness. I want Jesus to be the Lord of my life. I invite him into my heart to take control of my life. I am thankful, Lord, for this gift. In Jesus' name, amen.
If you have believed truly in your heart and asked for this forgiveness, you are now adopted into God's family as his child. You are forgiven not by what you do, but because of your faith through grace.
Okay, now what?
Now, I want to know if you believe. And if you have questions, ask. Now would be a good time to find a church and some people you can meet face to face with and talk about your faith. Spend time with God each day, it doesn't have to be a long time.
