Him. (Hayes Grier Fan Fiction)

We are in last period of school.. 30 minutes before school ends and summer starts. I keep looking up at the clock and tapping my foot. My phone buzzes and I quickly look up at the teacher to see if they heard, they didn't. I put my phone in my lap and check my texts, it's from Hayes. 

Anxious babe? haha 

no just excited for our summer together. 

I hit send and then Hayes' phone buzzes and he quickly opens it and grins at me. I blow him a kiss and he catches it. I sigh and put my hands to my heart. He laughs. The bell finally rings and then I get up and basically run out of school. Hayes and I walk home and I go to his house. I was talking about everything we should do over the summer. 

"Catie?" He says 

I know something is wrong. 

"Yes?" I say uneasily.

"Sit down" I take a seat on his front porch. 

"umm.. See there’s this thing I have to do for the next two weeks" he says. He continues to tell me about this event called magcon and he Nash and a bunch of other viners are going. 

"We get to meet fans.. and do fun stuff" I sit in silence and realize my first two weeks of summer are going to be terrible. I feel the tears coming on. 

"Babe, don't cry!" he says and pulls me into a tight hug. 

"You're coming too" I immediately pop up with the biggest smile on my face and kiss Hayes right on the lips.

"When do we leave?" I ask

"Tomorrow" He says

"What state?" 

"FLORIDAAAAA" Hayes basically screamed. Awesome! "And we leave tomorrowat 5 am, don't forget!" he said I wrapped him in my arms. He hugged me back. I excused myself to go pack I ran to my mom and asked her if I could go her response was, and I quote 

HELL YEAH

She got on the phone with Hayes’ mom and they started talking about plane tickets. I went upstairs to pack. I brought all kinds of shorts, two skirts, one dress, 7 shirts (tank tops, crop tops and plain t-shirts) I also brought some cute pajamas to wear and my three favorite bikinis. One bikinis was hot pink the other bright blue and a coral one. I could barely wait for our plane ride tomorrow. By the time I finished packing it was 9:00... time flies when you are a slow packer and watch gossip girl at the same time. I decided to go to bed early since the plane ride was at 5:00.  I decide to send Hayes a goodnight text. 

I can't wait for tomorrow :) I'm going to bed so I don't look like crap in the morning. Goodnight Babe :*

I get a response almost immediately while I am brushing my teeth

I wish I was there to kiss you goodnight. Goodnight beautiful, can't wait to see you tomorrow morning.

I fall asleep with a huge smile on my face. I wake up to darkness it was 3:30 in the morning. I had to get ready for our trip. I yawn, stretch and jump out of bed. I strip down my close and step into the shower. I am in there for about a half hour. I put on some denim shorts and a comfortable tank top. Very simple. I drag my luggage down with me and put some mascara on in the bathroom. Perfect. I put my luggage on the porch and grab my phone, its carger and it's headphones. I sit their and wait for Hayes to pick me up. I was only waiting for about 5 minutes until he comes to the door and take some of my luggage. 

"Let's go!" He says I laugh a little 

"Alright" I say. we pack my luggage into the car

"God. Catie," He says "Did you bring your whole closet?!"

"No!" I say defensively "More like a quarter." Hayes bursts out laughing. I get into the car and Nash is there

"Hey Catie." He says in a sleepy morning voice. 

"Hey" I respond. 

We drive mostly in silence. My hand is Hayes' and we finally arrive at the airport. I run to get my suitcase and start running towards the building. Hayes is right behind me. 

"Slow down!" He pants behind me I laugh and run faster. Leaving him behind. I reach security and wait for Hayes and Nash. They show up about a minute later. 

"Oh my god. you guys are soo slow" I tease. Nash just looks sleepy and Hayes looks at me and smirks, and kisses me on the lips.

"Let's move it along love birds" Nash says We all move through security. and make our way to gate 27. We wait for our flight to be boarded. Once our flight is called we all rush over hand the lady our tickets and get on the plane. I sit down and Hayes sits down next to me and Nash sits in front of us. I tap him on the shoulder?

"Where's Molly?" I ask

"She is flying out later today." He says

"Oh." I respond. I yawn again and Hayes looks at me and asks me

"Are you sleepy Catie? you look tired" I nod and Hayes chuckles. "You can sleep on me if you want."

I close my eyes and rest my shoulder and he rubs my back. After about 3 minutes of that I am out like a light on my way to Florida.

HAYES P.O.V

She looked so sleepy I offered for her to sleep on me. She rested her head on my shoulder and I rubbed her back. After she was asleep Nash looked behind him at me and Catie he smiled and then started making kissing noises. I shushed him so he wouldn't wake her up. I wanted to savor this moment. She looked so peaceful. I stroked her beautiful dark brown/ black hair. She was the most gorgeous girl I had ever seen. I loved her. I love Catie, No, I am in love with Catie. About an hour later we land in Orlando, Florida. Catie wakes up when the captain comes over the loud speaker. “How did you sleep?” I ask

“great actually” she says. It is now about 7 in the morning and we arrive at the hotel. Usually we aren’t allowed to check in before lunch. But they made an exception for us. I stumble into the room and then take Caties hand and she flops down onto her bed.

“Catiee” all I get back is a mumble from the bed.

“Come on!!” I say

I hear mumble that sounds something along the line of “No Hayes, it’s only like 7:30”

“Did I hear you say, Yes Hayes? My caring loving boyfriend. Let’s go for a walk on the beach!” Catie flips around on to her back and she says “Wha…” Before she can finish I scoop her off the bed and carry her down to the lobby and out the door and carry her to the beach which relatively close to the hotel. As soon as I put her down, she lays down on her back and pulls me down with her. We just sit there for awhile. Holding hands, and listening to the ocean. I flip onto my side so I’m facing her. She senses my movement and opens her left eye, looks at me, and then closes it again. I lean over her and kiss her. She kisses right back. Our lips move perfectly in sync. I can’t believe she’s all mine. I pull away from the kiss and I say

“Catie?”

“Yeah” she says

“I love you..”

“I love you too” she says and I kiss her again

CATIES P.O.V

He finally said it! It was such the perfect spot to. I love Hayes, I really do, I don’t know what I would do without him. For now we will just enjoy our time here in Florida. We stop kissing and lay back down. His arms around me and my head on his chest. I couldn’t wait to meet the rest of the boys.
