Me and Mark are at the backstage, waiting for us to perform. We got no.5 and Gray got no.8 so we gotta perform first then them. I've met with all Gray's friends who will later play in the band, they were all cool guys and hilarious ones.
"I'm just a fool....." We rehearsed the last time before going into the stage. "Now let's welcome, candidate no.5!" Cheers and claps surrounded the atmosphere, I turned around to see Gray with a smile on his face and thumbs up from his friends.
"Good luck babe." Gray kissed my cheeks earning an aww from his friends. I blushed and mutterd a thanks a long the way, following Mark going into the stairs and through the stage. Me and Mark are the only ones on stage, infront of us with crowds cheering and the 3 judges infront of us. Mark was given a guitar on the way here so he started strumming the strings.
Mark glanced at me, showing his white pearly teeth. Nodding, telling me that it was my turn to sing. I took a deep breath of air. Ok.. Here it goes. "Another shot of whiskey please bartender..." I started with the song. The crowd becoming to tone down, following the rythem of the music. I confidently sang each words, "Keep it coming til' I don't remember at all. How bad it turns when you're gone.."
"Turn the music up a little bit louder. Just gotta get past the midnight hour. Maybe tomorrow it won't be this hard."
Me and Mark started to sing togetther. "Oh, I had my heart set on you. But nothing else hurts like you do. Who knows that love was so cruel... Yeah.. Yeah... And I waited and waited so long. For someone who'll never comes home. It's my fault to think it ws true.. Yeah... Yeah.. I'm just a fool."
I was with Rachel on the crowd cause we've done the performance and well we're going to watch our 'guest star' as what they've call it. We had the first seat reserved for us thanks to Rachel, (while I said it she was grinning all over) now we're here as if were fans, hint. We're not. Haha. Just kidding.
"Let's welcome our special guest which happened to be one of our contestants-"
Loud cheers interrupted him, "Well, the fans are really eager to see them, I'll get to the point. Let's welcome, candidate no.8!!!"
Smoke and ashes spread across the stage, giving that cool effect with those red lights. "So dramatic." Rachel whispered.
"Too Dramatic." I corrected her.
"Hey everybody.." Gray spoke with the mic, "We are going to sing Light Em' Up by Fall Out Boys, hope you guys enjoy it."
The drum started to play first, the rhythm bringing the crowds to clap while the other musical instruments started to join in. "Be-be-be-careful making wishes in the dark-dark, can be sure when they hit their mark..."
"Hey Mark, your name was being spoken." Rachel told Mark which we giggled while he gritted his teeth.
"And besides in the mean-mean time,
I'm just thinking of tearing you apart.."

Mark's POV
I stood their with anticipation while holding the one that I loved in my hand, feeling my heart beat faster than the minute when the MC started walking to the stage with a piece of paper on his hand.
"So here are the result for the East High Talent Show Competition, we'll start with the 3rd."
"We have here..... The Jazz Trumpets!"
Damn they won third place, they were cool and jazzy and all but yeah, I know we can beat them.
"The 2nd place! Goes to.... B&W Suits!"
That is the break dance group which seems very cool to me with a bunch of people performing on the stage. They come up the stage with them high five-ing them selves with their costume still on. It's a Black and White costume.
"The Racist sounds better for them." I heard Rachel spoke to Chelsea. Chelsea showed her beautiful smile which I adored and spare a glance at me while tightening our grip in our hands. "Can't wait..."
"Yep.... It's the last one.."
She nodded and look at the MC on the stage preparing to say our names for the first place. "The first place!!! Oohh... This is an interesting one.." Crowds were screaming all over. "It's The Unbeatable!!"
"Woow..." I heard Gray said.
"We won dude!!!" One of his friends said.
"Congratulations guys.." Rachel said.
"Congrats!!" Chelsea said hugging Gray while he returned the hug back.
"What?!!" I screeched.
Rachel seems to notice me and walk to me, "What? You're not impressed?"
Then she glance at Chelsea who was still yet hugging Gray, "Jealous much?"
"I'm so proud of you Gee!!"
"It's all thanks to you Chee."
"I can see the anger in those eyes." Rachel nagged at me.
"Why me?" Chelsea said.
"Dude, time to go.." One of Gray's friend said.
"Kay.." He glanced at Chelsea for the last time. "You'll know the answer."
He started walking away with his friends, up the stage, with the first place trophy on his hands.
"Isn't he just great?" Chelly said.
"Why Chelly!! Why must you like him!! Why not me?!! Why him!!" I touched Chelsea's shoulder, facing her in front of me.
"Mark, what are you talkin-"
I stomped away, not forcing myself to look back. I ran towards my car, pull out my car keys and head towards a fat place where no-one can find me.
"Mark!!" was all the last sound I heard from her.
