Going to camp

I stepped over the camp boundaries, Angel with a Shotgun playing in my head.

I'm an angel with a shotgun, shotgun, shotgun, angel with a shotgun,

Someone interrupted my internal singing by making a disgusted noise in the back of her throat. That someone was Annabeth. I completely agreed. This place hadn't changed one bit since 500,000 years back. I would've liked this place to be different, but noo. It's EXACTLY THE SAME!!! I had to blame Chaos for that.

I looked to see Poseidon coming towards us. Immediately, I took a defensive position in front of my crew, especially Annabeth. A snarl ripped through my teeth, warning him to stay back. His eyes widened, and he moved backward.

I hadn't moved a millimeter. I hadn't even breathed. I didn't need to, anymore. He raised his hands, which I regarded his hands with curiosity. "Oh", I said, straightening. "I forgot. I don't need to protect her anymore. Or any of them." I looked at him, with cold eyes, daring him to move a little step forward. Even a millimeter.

Instead he stepped back. Smart choice. I turned toward Annabeth, watching her stare at Poseidon with hatred, the way I probably looked. I turned back to see Zeus step next to his brother. A millimeter too close for my liking. I growled. He stepped back, fear evident on his face.

Annabeth conjured a glass of hot chocolate with a smile on her face.  I smiled too, and accepted it with a thanks. She just grinned wider. After a millisecond, I realized why. It wasn't because of the hot chocolate.

I exploded into laughter, shocking the gods that were there. The rest of my team exploded into laughter a second after me, realizing what was happening. Leo was wiping tears from his face. Annabeth was doubled over laughing. The gods looked at us like we were crazy. A few seconds later, the grizzly bear came up behind the gods, and whispered "boo".

I was still laughing 15 minutes later, the gods still wearing shocked expressions. You really should have heard them scream. I still think that it would have been funnier if the grizzly was painted pink though. I told Annabeth my idea, but she only grinned and said "Next time", which made me grin, having something to look forward to.

I was sitting in the meeting room, my legs on the ping pong table, a grin on my face, looking totally relaxed, no signs of stress or any of the true things I felt. Inside I was coiled like a string, and I could tell the rest of the team was too, despite the relaxed way they held themselves.

"So." Zeus said, finally able to speak. That just threw me into another fit of laughter, looking at his face. When I calmed down enough to get a grip on myself, he started talking.

"Welcome to Camp Half-Blood. We understand that you are here to help us in the war. Right?"

"Oh, no! We're here to paint everyone's nails and sing Christmas carols!" I said, my face betraying no sign of lying.

Zeus stared at us "Seriously?" he asked.

"You," I said, dragging each word, "Are the stupidest person I have ever met. And I met more people than are on this planet." Part of me wondered how the rest of my team was doing. I sent them out to get our cabin ready, and settle in. Another part was looking at Annabeth, who was stifling giggles.

The rest was on the stupidest person alive.

He was making an obvious attempt to control his temper. I could tell he was making more progress every second.

Finally, he said, "Come on. I want to introduce you to the rest of the camp." and stood up abruptly.

Sorry, but I will probably update a chapter every day until next Monday, then I will only update that weekends :( And then the weekends after that. And then Fcat will be over :) I'll be soooo happy, and my friend and I will have as much sleepovers as we want!!! :) Can't wait!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr, fcat!!!!

Anyway, this chapter is dedicated to my best best best friend, for making me get off my lazy butt and write this :)
