After all I've been through, the fates did not bring Percy back to life. The campers had been possessed by Destruction, and when they came out of their stupor, the regretted things immensely. But it was too late. I had no one now. I was a widow. Annie had no father. When Chaos brought me and Logan back, Logan had become commander after I had refused 115 times. I begged Chaos to make me mortal. He refused. So then I fell into a huge black hole where I cut my wrists and tried to commit suicide, hating who I was, wishing I was dead. After many tries, I finally managed to die. Everyone was horrified and despairing, especially Annie. But she did not make the same mistake I did. Instead, she moved on, grew stronger, became co-commander, and got married to Logan. I was happy for her. And I was happy with Percy, down here in the Isles of the Blessed. Because we had been through so much, Hades made an exception, and put us in the Isles of the Blessed, skipping the three-times-elysium thing. Everyone was happy. Almost. Almost fully happy.
ANNIES POV
There will always be a hole in my heart, and if anyone mentions my parents besides Logie, they die. At first I grieved, but then I wiped away my tears and went into the world to make my parents proud.
