That night I was avoided like the plague in the common room. Except for first years and newly resorted. They were worshipping me for some reason. I expected from first years, seeing as I was friends with one of them. You see, if your friends with one, that loosely translated to all. "Draco are you alright? You don't look so good!" Lyra and I turn to see her brother looking sickly. Harry was about to snicker, I swear! I was glaring at Pansy. She should keep her hands to herself. Lyra sighed and said "You should go to the infirmary or at least the restroom, you look like you're about throw up." He glared at her but nodded. Everyone looked at her and questioningly wondered why she wasn't called something.

"What?" They looked away and I chuckled. "Alright, I think I'm going to head to bed. See you at breakfast." I nodded and then the others slowly left. I felt a numbing feeling in my gut but I ignored it.

"How about those plans?"

Harry, Fred, George, and I woke up early and played a prank on the prefects. Harry and I disposed of the materials and then to make our expressions look realistic, we obliviated ourselves but put the memories in a bottle. This practice was a borderline between grey and dark magic but who cares? All the prefects looked at the twins but George only said "No, I'm surprised as you!" and Fred said "I'd think we would remember if we pranked you."

I didn't properly oblivate myself so I remember we pranked them, but I didn't remember what we did exactly.

Either way everyone but Prefects, staff, head girl and boy, and friends of Prefects thought it was funny. I laughed but then proceeded to read until food appeared. I began eating, correcting the three boys on etiquette here and there. Carmenta decided to join us so I gave her some of the food here. She especially liked the biscuits. All the teachers accused Fred and George but in the end they couldn't find the proof. I saw Professor McGonagall shake. Dumblebitch managed to calm the staff down.

Haha.

It's been a week and we've already accomplished four pranks. All have started by accusing the Weasley Twins but they come up clean. Moody is very...strange. I had done a lot to gain some reputation in Slytherin and at least was popular with the younger Slytherins. It was only when I revealed that my curriculum during homeschool matched that of the original curriculum at Hogwarts; including Alchemy, Dark Arts, Necromancy, Blood Magic, and Soul Magic. Each one was slowly picked off, Alchemy being the most recent.

Today we were going out to a field. The field was filled with Thestrals. Hagrid went on about it, giving us several details and explaining why not everyone can see them.

Sentient beings with white eyes, black skin and black hair. They are larger than horses and are related to horses, Abraxan, Aethonan, Granian, and Winged Horses. A Thestral can be seen by someone who has bared witness to death and accepted its reality, has a Thestral as a patronus, has a Thestral as a familiar, or has a Thestral as an animgus form. They are very rare, and are considered dangerous by the Ministry of Magic. Thestrals are, undeservedly, known as omens of misfortune and aggression by many wizards because they are visible only to those who have witnessed death at least once or due to their somewhat grim, gaunt and ghostly appearance. Due to Thestrals' classification as XXXX, only experienced wizards should try to handle Thestrals. Breeding as well as owning these beasts may be discouraged or even illegal without Ministry consent; in fact, wizards that live in areas not protected against Muggles are forced by law to perform Disillusionment Charms on their Thestrals regularly. However, if one is a familiar to a witch or wizard they already have the right to keep them without acknowledging The Ministry. The way to tell if one is a familiar and has been acquainted to their bonded witch or wizard, their eyes will not be white but green. The animgus form tends to have some distinct differences as well, but can vary from wizard to witch.

"Now, I know this may sound rude considerin' you have had to see death take someone's life but who here can see em?" A handful of students raised their hands. I raised my hand, as I could see them. I don't understand why the Ministry thinks they're ghastly. "Well, for seeing em, five points per student." That meant 20 points for Hufflepuff and 25 points for Slytherin. With that class was released and I walked on back to the castle. That was, until Hagrid stopped me. He asked me to come by later with Harry and Hermione. I'm sorry, did I replace Ron? Is a ginger needed for the group to function properly?

I nodded and went ahead. I noticed Draco staring at me. He looked...well freaked to be honest. "What, scared by what you couldn't even see back there?" He looked at me in an angry way. "No, I just don't get why anyone would already witness death." I stared at him as if he was dumb. "I don't know about the others, but I witnessed death when I was only a baby." I quickly left to the common room, thanking Circe that it was a free period. I sighed and Carmenta hissed. "Yes, my lovely?" I asked. She pointed to my eyes, as if to ask why they were watering.

"Oh, Carmenta... we speak but he never feels it. And when we do speak, it often ends up with one of us hurt. What do I do?" She tried to say something but alas, I didn't understand. We decided to just continue Familiar Bonding. We seriously need better communication.
