Kate's POV:
Right now we are just heading onto the bus and heading towards Nationals. Elite is meeting us there, but not until we perform which is in the afternoon at 3:00pm. I am super stoaked and can't wait to see how all of my dancers do and what we can bring to the table for Nationals.
We hope off the bus and check in with front desk for the competition. We are walking as a studio comes walking past us. Amanda tells us that they were the group that won Nationals last year and they think that since they are so professional that they will be able to win again. They better think again because The Next Step is going to take this years competition.
Emily's POV:
We get prepared and we are told that the duets are going to be the first competiton at Nationals. James and Riley go off with Kate to practice the routine and get ready. Later, all studios/academys are to come together and be introduced to the people and who the other studio will be that we are facing up against. Riley goes up and says her speech about us. After, we are all invited up to take a group photo for nationals.
It the duet competitions and we are all so excited for Riley and James. elite is in the audience and we are behind the stage watching them perform. The announcer call James and Riley up and they start doing the duet. They finsih and we look and they get a standing ovation. Everyone must really love them. They walk walk off and come to us.
Emily: you guys were so good *hugging Riley*
Eldon: that was sick *giving James a high five*
James: thanks
Announcer: PLEASE HAVE ALL THE GROUPS COME ON STAGE PLEASE.
We watch as James and Riley go on with all the other duets. There were some pretty good duets our there, but i am pretty sure James and Riley will win.
Announcer: AND THE WINNERS BY JUST 1/2 A POINT FROM THE RUNNER UP. IS................
We are all standing there waiting to hear if Riley and James won the duet. I don't know what to do so right now i am holding onto Amanda because i am so nervous for my sister and James.
Anncoucer: RILEY AND JAMES FROM THE NEXT STEP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We all start screaming as James and Riley hug each other. We come to join them on stage and we notice Riley is crying.
Phoebe: what is wrong Riley?
Riley: nothing is wrong i am just so happy right now
She hugs everyone in a troupe and then goes back to hugging James.
Kate: alright well great job out there now lets get some rest. The small group is tomorrow. So James, Eldon, Daniel, West and Hunter be prepared for tomorrow.
Riley's POV:
I just can't stop hugging James. I am so happy and so surprised. The first time we ahve ever been to nationals and we won. We got handed the duet trophy as the camera man takes our picture. We do a few nice ones and a few cute pics too. We have a picture of us just smiling, Kissing each other, one iwth me kissing James cheek and the other with James kissing my cheek. We go to the audience and Elite congrats us.
Elite: congrats!
Lucien: you guys killed it out there you so deserve that trophy. How about to celebrate lets go to the pre-nationals party.
Everyone: okay!
We enter and the first thing we see as we open the doors is.........................
