He opened the store door, and that's when I got up to follow him again. I stayed a few feet behind, cautious. I watched him turn a corner as I held my breath. He walked down the sidewalk, alone, carefully shifting from foot to foot. He looked around him, and locked his eyes to mine. I quickly looked away and shoved my hands into my sweatshirt pocket. I glanced over to him again, to see his eyes still locked onto mine. He froze, and so did I.Jaxon.

I woke up in a sweat, gripping the bedsheets below me. I took deep breaths, and my heart agreed to stop pounding.
I got up out of bed, and put on a pair of black, ripped skinny jeans, a red T-Shirt, and a black leather jacket overtop. My dark purple hair flowed down to my mid-back, and I styled it in my usual curly fashion. I put on some make-up and lipstick, grabbed my galaxy-style backpack, and walked out the front door. I scanned the surrounding city; tall, luminescent buildings flashing streaks of light in the 7:00 morning sky. I grabbed a pack of cigarettes from the front pocket of my backpack, and lit one. I inhaled deeply and let the smoke fill me with a temporary joy, and watched it flow through the thin air as I exhaled.
I continued walking, not really going anywhere specific. College didn't start until 8:30, and I didn't want to get there early.
I passed many people as I walked. Some in small groups, others alone. I read their faces like books, carefully examining each and every person. I took a short break from my hour walk and sat on a bench just across the street from a small ice-cream store when an image flashed my mind.
The dream.
My eyes grew wide and my heart skipped a beat.
He can't be alive.. It can't actually be true...
I saw the store door open, and the same figure from my dream appeared.
God damn it!
"JAXON!" I yelled, which made the figure freeze and look in my direction. His piercing blue eyes met mine, and his face brought the same expression as my mind had thought.
Shock.
I could imagine my face doing the same, turning from a neutral look to pure shock. I ran across the street, not looking for cars, and the figure ran to me as well.
"Jaxon, what the fuck! How?" My voice was muffled as I jumped onto the figure, and hugged him.
The figure pushed me away in confusion, and I instantly realized my mistake.
"Oh my fucking god are you kidding me! I'm so sorry, I thought you were someone else."
I walked away, embarrassed. I heard a laugh behind me and started walking faster.
I was halfway done with my morning walk when I heard a voice from behind me.
"Hey!"
"HEY!" I turned around to see the same figure looming over me.
He was at least a head taller than me, and I was tall for a girl. He had those blue eyes, almost the same shade as Jaxon's, if not the same. His black hair was cut short, and he had a tattoo on his right arm.
"What?" I crossed my arms.
"What was that all about, sass master?" he smirked, and I frowned. He seemed to take note that I don't like to receive sarcasm.
