I looked back to check if Layla was behind me. She wasn't, suddenly I felt myself trip and fall. I squinted my eyes shut, prepared to feel the hard floor as I slammed onto it. But instead, I felt hands wrap around my waist. I opened my eyes.
"Are you okay? You're lucky I caught you, that could've been humiliating." A voice behind me said. I looked back to see a boy with curly blonde/brown hair. (You should know who it is by this point...) He helped me up, "You really didn't have to catch me." I said "Well, I couldn't just stand by knowing you were falling..." He replied. "Well, I guess you're right." I looked down at my feet, kind of embarrassed because these types of situations were pretty awkward. After a long pause he said, "My name is Jack." He seemed...familiar, I just couldn't figure out why.
"My name is y/n." He looked at me for a bit then started talking again. "It was nice talking to you, I'm gonna go now, bye." He said as he started walking away. "Bye." I said. I realized I hadn't seen Layla around, she was probably worrying. "Y/n! There you are!" Layla said behind me. "I was looking for you.
"I didn't mean to get you worried Layla, I just got into trouble again." I said sheepishly. She looked at me. "Do you mean trouble as in boy trouble?" She asked sassily. I looked at her with a smirk. "Yeah, I just tripped and fell like in those cliche high school movies." I said. "Pfft...okay, whatever." Layla said.
We walked off to Starbucks and we saw a crowd of girls jumping around and smiling. They were obviously surrounding someone, but I couldn't tell, even Layla saw. "Who do you think they're surrounding?" She asked with a confused look. "I'm not sure." I said
