'Mummy.' My beautiful prince Tyler called. "Yes baby!" I responded whilst turning around to see him, he was wearing a pink Tutu and was so full of Life. 'Mummy, I'm hungry.' He stomped his little feet on the kitchen floor.
His eyes screwed shut with every thomp his tiny little feet made on the floor, "Tyler!" I called with a stern voice. "You know thats not nice baby." A sigh escaped my lips staring looking at my precious little boy, whilst I made him something to eat.
'Mummy, the phone!' He exasperated tugging at my Jean's. "I can hear it baby." I told him, whilst walking over to my cell and answered it, 'hello, miss Montgomery.' The voice I recognized as Tyler's doctor paused. 'your sons test results came back, I'm afraid you have to come into the hospital so we can discuss things further. We have many ways that we can help you. Miss, giving up is not the answer so we do strongly advise you to come in so we can help you understand what's going on here.' Dr Rai sighed before cutting off.
'Miss Montgomery, glad you could make it.' Dr Rai smiled then looked to Tyler, 'hello young man, hope you're feeling okay.' He spoke with him. Then his demeanor changed, he sighed heavily and looked me in the eyes, 'miss Montgomery, I'm afraid that its not good news, I'm terribly sorry, but its stage four cancer..' He announced then the world around me slowed down and the word cancer haunting my mind repeatedly, with more emphasis each time its been said.
I looked at Dr Rai, his lips were moving but no sound was making its way to my ears, then I looked to my beautiful little boy, 'oh my beautiful child.' I thought to myself then let out a shaky sigh, as Dr Rai snapped me back to reality. 'Miss Montgomery, my team and I ensure you the best treatment for your son Tyler..' My heart was breaking, shattering even as he spoke my baby's name "there has to be a mistake Dr. No I refuse to believe this. This is some sick April fools joke." Tears seeped through my eyes and trickled down my face.
'Don't cry mommy. Its okay I'm here.' Tyler smiled kissing away my tears.
