"Come on Ariel, you can do better than that!" A young blond man snapped, swinging his sword at a short, brunette woman. "Oh stop it Sandy, I'm just getting started!" The young hispanic woman snapped back, rushing the man, who easily parried her sword. The two had been battling since Wendy had left an hour, almost 2 hours, prior, not noticing the young woman return to her cottage. "Ariel, Sandy, enough!" Wendy growled, seeing that the two were sparring in her parlor. "Sorry Wendy," the two said, sheathing their swords. "How many times have I told you two not to spar in the parlor?!" The young huntress lectured, pinching the bridge of her nose in annoyance."Wendy, you were gone for almost two hours, we got bored." Sandy commented, sitting in one of the chairs near the hearth. Ariel groaned at her boyfriend, placing their swords beside his rifle at the door. "Remind me why I allowed you two to join me again?" Huffed Wendy as she sat at her writing desk to write in her journal. "Because you would have been killed by a vampire had we not saved you," Ariel pointed out. That had been four years ago, when Wendy had tracked down who she had thought was her mother's killer, but instead was the younger brother of the true killer. The huntress had been cornered by the vampire prince and his small clan in the back garden of his castle and would have surely died had it not been for her two fellow hunters. Ariel, an indentured servant from Mexico and her master\boyfriend, Sandy. Young Ariel, who had been wielding a sword, sliced and stabbed several of the beasts while Sandy took out the prince and the other beasts with his rifle. Wendy had been very grateful for their actions and allowed the two hunters to join her on her hunt. "And you two still act like children," hissed Wendy as she closed her journal for the night. As she headed to her room, the couple shared a look and just shrugged, their friend was an odd one.
