"Good afternoon, miss", a large man said to me as he stood next to a massive vehicle. It was parked in front of my apartment building, a huge, black SUV limo. Just as I approached, the passenger door suddenly opened and I looked over with surprise. I saw a leg and then a body and then....it was....HIM! Abel was climbing out of the back of the car! I stopped abruptly on the sidewalk, bringing my hand up to my mouth in shock.
There he was in all his glory, standing right in front of me. He looked at me and smiled, melting my heart with his beauty. At that moment everything around me disappeared and all I could see was him. He stepped out of the car and took a few steps towards me where I was now standing as still as a soldier. He put out his hand and I could feel my emotions erupting so I had to hold them in check or I would have broken down in tears right there on the sidewalk.
"Hi, Stacey, now I can officially say it's nice to meet you." He held out his hand for me to shake.
I removed my trembling hand from my mouth and took his hand. It felt like it was in slow motion as I looked into his eyes while our hands touched for the first time. His palm was sweaty and warm while mine was cold and shaky. His hand shake was firm but not too firm, and he only held my hand for a couple of seconds before letting it go and motioning for me to get into the car. But it was soft and when he touched me it sent shivers through my body.
He was wearing jeans with a blue bomber jacket and black combat boots. His hair was short now of course and his beard was perfectly manicured. I even noticed the cross on his neck and his XO t-shirt underneath his jacket.
I stepped towards him and slid onto the seat in the back. He sat down right next to me and I thought I was going to die. I took a deep breath and told myself to remain calm and not say anything stupid. It was as though I was in a dream because it was so hard to believe this was happening to me.
I looked over at him as he got comfortable in his seat. There was a bit of space between us so I was able to look at him without turning my body sideways. I placed my purse on the seat opposite of him so there would be nothing in between the two of us.
"You're even more beautiful in person", he said.
I inhaled deeply as though I was ingesting his words. "Thanks", I muttered nervously.
"So, where do you wanna go?" he asked.
I wanna touch you so badly. I wanna hold you in my arms. I wanna make love with you. I wanna....my thoughts were nowhere near what I had the courage to say out loud.
"Uh, let's drive around Stanley Park and the sea wall", I said. I'd loosely planned a few things for the day, all touristy stuff. I myself didn't give a damn what we did, I just wanted to be with him.
"Okay, sounds good." He pushed a button to speak to the driver. "Ben? Take us for a drive around Stanley Park and the sea wall." He looked at me and smiled. "Are we getting out there?" he wondered.
"No, I don't think so, not unless you want to." He looked blankly at me so I continued. "I thought we'd drive around a few areas and then maybe go for dinner?"
"Aight, let's do it. Do you want a drink? There's wine, beer, champagne, liquor?"
"Oh, I'll have some red wine please", I said.
"Okay", he leaned forward and took out a bottle. He placed it between his legs and found a corkscrew. I carefully watched every move he made as he used it to rip the plastic from the top and then dig it into the cork. The sun was shining and its rays highlighted the dark brown color of his hair. His profile was perfect and his jaw line was so masculine that it made me shiver.
