"What should I do?" Ed asked his boss over the loud blaring music in one ear piece.

"Well I'm glad you asked because, this cheap store's shelves ain't gonna stack themselves" his boss replied while pointing to a trolley full of boxes.

Ed sighed loudly before shoving the other ear piece in his other ear and then going off to do what was asked to be done.

His boss snorted before walking off to her provided office.

~~ bloop bloop, time skip time!~~

As Ed was on the last row of stacking the shelves, he was unaware of the ring of the bell that went off, which alarms the workers that a customer had come in.

But obviously he had ear phones in his ears and was too engrossed in both his task and the music to actually look up from where he worked.

The customer stared and analysed the store they've analysed so many times, as they swing with the trolley.

But they weren't here for any items in the store, but for the only worker who was currently working their shift.

How did this certain customer know? It's easy, he simply "observed".

Ed was unaware of the heterochromiatic eyes that were staring at him, just as he went to place a cereal box, to shield the customers view.

But after a while the customer had changed their mind and went shopping after all.

He was also unaware of the fact that the customer had swept a whole arm of groceries off the shelf and into the trolley. All were hand picked, mostly consisting of dry and canned foods, along with water bottles, as well as a few lollies and gum here and there.

The customer eventually got bored after they got what they needed and left the store, and only then did Ed look around, right after the customer had shop lifted, the lights began to flicker overhead in the aisle/isle he was in, and he looked up slowly towards them.

They flickered on for 30 seconds before they flashed to normal, and the brunette then looked around cautiously to the door to the cheap store.

Ed tossed a thought aside after a small suspicious look on his face. A face that was speckled and decorated with freckles that were painted from under his eyes that bridged over his nose.
Eyes that were a deep ocean blue, and hair that was hidden beneath a black cap, that matched his black uniform work clothes attire.

Although, Ed wouldn't admit to his boss that his work pants are actually his own skinny jeans he found lying around. His other semi-jean looking pants had vanished.

After a while of crouching in the aisle/isle, the brunette got up, due to his thighs hurting from crouching for too long.

The lights flickered for a while, then they permanently turned off, causing the brunette to furrow his eyebrows, in confusion.

The 16 year old pulled his ear phones out and placed them, along with his phone, on the counter top he should be standing behind by now.

"Amie, the lights went out, did you like not pay the electric bill or whatever?" Ed called as he raised his voice by only the tiniest bit.

"Ugh, Amie!? Y'know we'll run outta business if you keep this up" Ed called once more, but no answer was given back.

He then went to his bosses door, but before he could lay a finger on it, loud scuttling sounds were heard from behind him.

Ed spun around quickly as he heard a loud groaning sound, followed by not so pleasing squishy like sounds.

"What the fuck?" The blue eyed boy whispered shakily to himself, as he somehow ventured himself forward toward the unappeasable sound.

As he slowly and carefully walked around a corner, like a man would with a startled animal, he eventually stopped as he heard stuff being knocked over.

"Oaaahhh!? For CHRIST sakes! I just stacked those!" The brunette yelled as he focused his gaze on the falling objects, of canned soup, chips and somehow a soft drink.

The soft drink landed hard on the ground, causing it to fizz up and burst, the pink sugary drink sprayed all over Ed as he shielded his eyes. (A/n lol I was about to write shielded his gay lol).

"Great, just, great" The brunette exclaimed sarcastically.

He then saw a picture of himself on the floor and with confusion riddled all over his face, he picked up the picture.

After a while of eyeing the black and white picture in confusion, he was met with loud gurgles and groans mixed

After a while of eyeing the black and white picture in confusion, he was met with loud gurgles and groans mixed.

He then looked up and he saw, a zombie!? Standing in an aisle/isle, flesh coloured a light grey while red crimson drew your eyes away from the dull colour, along with the slight green tints the zombie had.

It's jaw was hung wide open, dripping blood and saliva from its tongue, with dull red blood, it's clothes were slightly torn, and it's ankle was twisted but the decaying walking corpse didn't seem to care.

Ed just stared at it with an unbelieving face, an eye narrowed while one eyebrow furrows down while the other goes up.

The zombie must've eventually saw Ed by now, because it then started charging towards Ed, an arm flailing back all limp while the other arm outstretched in Ed's direction.

Author's note:
I wanted to post this early, because I wanted to. Shut up! I know it's long for a prologue! Who cares!? (That was rhetorical don't answer that).
