Down in the darkest depths of hell, a malevolent force, older than time itself, stirred, bringing volcanic eruptions and devastation upon the earth above it.
Journey beneath the earth's surface, and deep into its core, and you will find a burrow, that is lined with bones and deep gouges from the claws of its inhabitants, the entrance of which, is constantly changing its location. It is barely wide enough to allow a small child to crawl through and reach the end of it, which of course, would not be possible, the child would die from the heat and pressure, but it allows the creatures that make it their home to enter and exit the place to which it leads.
This burrow leads to hell, a place that has only ever been described in mythology and religion it has never been visited by a living human, only the souls of the dead ones. It is not upon or inside the earth, as one might be led to believe, but still, it lurks in the heart of our planet, in a way not comprehendible by the human brain.
Of course, as on the surface of the earth, even the most inhospitable of places, gives refuge to life, if you can indeed call it that.
But alas, what would hell be without demons and monsters? Well, these are the creature that live in this place, and they have a cruel and heartless ruler.
He has many names, Lucifer, Abbadon, Accuser, Angel of darkness, Antichrist, Beast, Beelzebub, Father of lies, Lawless one, Ruler of demons, Serpent of old, Prince of darkness and Satan to name a few.
Despite you decide to call him, He was not pleased. This meant more pain and suffering than usual for those many souls who were being eternally tortured in the fires of hell.
Something had disturbed him, and whatever that force was, had better brace itself, because his temper would flare upon it like a fiery volcano if he ever found it. It was causing a problem in his domain of fire, pain and death. His demons were attracted to it, and were forever trying to claw their way up and onto the earth.
He had known the force to exist for years now, but it's attraction had not been anywhere near as strong as it had recently.
Even he was being drawn to it. He was starting to wish he could capture it, own it, whatever it may be. A quiet , wavering female voice tugged Him, rather suddenly, away from his thoughts.
"My lord, more of your demons have escaped." Snivelled a small she-demon.
She had black, scaly skin, small, vestigial, bat-like wings, a horned head, claws, fangs, and snake-like, orange eyes, which glowed dimly."What kind?" He growled at her. She gulped, and tucked a strand of long, black hair behind a pointed ear. "Aggramon mainly sir," Satan muttered to himself. "Demons of fear hmm? Re-capture them."
"But my lord-"
"NOW!" He bellowed. The she-demon shrank back. "Yes sir." She said quietly and submissively."And, after you have done that," Satan stroked his small, well kept goatee thoughtfully. "Find out what is attracting them, and destroy it, in whatever means you deem necessary, Painfully if you must, I do not want my demons escaping now do I?" He purred.
"No sir. I shall send some scouts immediately."
"That's a good girl." He said, almost mockingly. "Do not disturb me until the source has been located, and as soon as it has, notify me at once do you understand?" The she-demon quivered. "Yes sir." She said quietly, her voice
wavering. He obviously intimidated her."And do tell me what is causing all of this unrest within the ranks."
"Yes sir."
"I want details. Tell me exactly what is the cause of all of these problems. My demons are growing restless. You had better get to work."
"Of course your hellishness, sir."The small she-demon scampered off. "Wait." He called after her. She flinched and turned around slowly. "Yes my lord?" She said so quietly you could hardly hear her. "Up the torture intensity, inflict as much slow pain as possible. What is torture it if it isn't slow and painful?"
"It is nothing my lord, I will up the intensity sir."
And with that she scurried as fast as she could to fetch the scouts, and up the torture intensity, also possibly so he couldn't ask any more of her.Moments later, Alu-demons, Balbans, Carreaus, Cresils and many other species of demon, were shoved aside by three devastatingly powerful arch-demons, who then stood in front of the small demoness that had summoned them.
"I have a mission for you." She said, pointedly. The Arch-demons muttered to each other. "Master wishes for you to journey to the earth, and locate the source of the power that is stealing his demons, and then report back to him, when you have located it."
"And how are we supposed to do that small one?" Interrupted an Arch-demon. She ignored him.
"Depending on what turns out to be attracting them, you may be sent back to the earth to destroy it, so prepare to get your claws dirty. You will have to possess a human and use it's skin as camouflage while you walk the earth, so be quick about it. Now, begone." She waved her hand dismissively. "Learn your place, weakling." Growled the largest of the three, menacingly. The demoness didn't even bat an eyelid, but smiled at him.
He growled deeply, and turned and ascended to the earth through the burrow, with his two hideous accomplices in tow.
