The devil's P.O.V

I sat and waited patiently, on my throne of darkness, that lay in a throne chamber, devoid of light and happiness, containing only despair, evil and death.  I was waiting, waiting for any news of the job I had sent my Arch-demons to do for me. So far I had heard nothing.

Sscilla, the small demoness who I had sent to summon the arch-demons was nowhere to be seen. Probably upping the torture intensity I should think. I thought.

I was torn away from my thoughts by some sort of strange force, that seemed to be tugging me towards something,  I instantly knew That that something seemed to be whatever I had sent my arch-demons to locate, the source of the radiating power.

It's nothing, I thought. Nothing worth worrying about anyway,

The great doors at the end of the throne room creaked open, and Sscilla suddenly appeared from the shadows, and scuttled submissively towards my throne. She bowed at my feet once, and then straightened up.

She began playing nervously, with the tattered black fabric that made up her clothes. "My lord, I have an issue that must be brought to your attention..." she began. "Have the found that which I seek?" I demanded, excitedly. "N-no my lord, but I have other news." I sighed and slouched back onto my throne. "What is it now?" I asked her. "Escaped Balban?" She cocked her head in confusion. "No sir, we have recaptured all of the escaped Aggramon your hellishness."
"Ah yes...good...very good...well done, I suppose..."

I was disappointed that my Arch-demons hadn't found the object that I longer for, whatever it may truly be, and that frustrated me. I needed it, I could feel it tugging at me to go and claim it. I must leave hell and walk upon the earth, I can no longer trust my Arch demons to find that which I seek.

"SSCILLA!" I bellowed at the small demoness. "Ye-yes my lord?" She quivered. "Call back the Arch-demons, if they complain, punish them. I must finish this mission on my own."
"But my lord, you know that you must not..."
"WHY NOT!?" I demanded. "I AM TIRED OF BEING STUCK IN THIS FESTERING HOLE, I HAVE BEEN HERE FAR LONGER THAN I GET CREDIT FOR! I SHOULD BE ABLE TO TRAVEL TO THE EARTH AND WALK UPON IT WHENEVER I WANT TO, MY DEMONS DO, WHY SHOULDN'T I!?" I roared. Sscilla quivered. "Call back the Arch-demons, NOW!"

"Yes sir." She scuttled away as fast as her stumpy little legs could carry her.

I, meanwhile, began preparing to walk upon the earth as I had done so many times before, and yet, so long ago.

I changed my skin to that of a human, a handsome one at that, a pointed goatee, slicked back, black hair, a pointed jaw, and wickedly piercing red eyes. My eyes were the only giveaway that I wasn't what I appeared to be.

I admired my handiwork. "Nice, very nice" I muttered. "Very convincing. It could probably fool an angel! Then again, what angel would be dumb enough to try to battle the devil?" I scoffed at the thought.

Sscilla suddenly rushed back into my throne room with the three Arch-demons. I turned to face them. They bowed.

"Your mission has been withdrawn." I began. "I no longer need your services, as I will continue with your mission." There were groans from all three of them. I shot them a piercing glare and they quickly shut up.
"You, and the other Arch-demons will take my place and lead hell whilst I am gone. If there is a problem or something is not done correctly, I will punish you ALL. Now, do you have any leads?" The biggest of the three spoke up.

"Yes sir, the energy is in England, sir, in a little town called Birchwood."
"Excellent. Now, be gone with you!" I bellowed. They promptly left. I smiled to myself.

"What are you?" I pondered. "Your making me come up there onto the earth to find you, I see you like to play hard to get, well, your not the only one who likes to play games."I grinned, and then ascended through the burrow, up onto the earth, and into Birchwood. "Ready or not, here I come." I whispered, with a malevolent grin.
