Hayli falls back onto the car seat and sighed deeply. Great, this is just perfect. Was God being funny or something. How is it possible on the first day after returning home she runs into Jon? She looks down at her arm where he grabbed her and thought about his apology. He had grown up, although he had always been good looking, now he was now a knock out. But why would he apologize? Well, it didn't matter. He was going to have to to do alot more then apologize to get her to even think about talking to him. He has no idea how badly he hurt her back in those days.

She unbuckles her seatbelt and gets out of the car, sligging her purse onto her shoulder. Hayli wanted to smack herself in the head. She totally forgot about how shes going to explain the bruises to her mom. Maybe if she could sneak past her to get to her room then she wouldn't have to worry about explaining just yet. Hayli smerks to herself, sneaking past her mother, like she was a kid again sneaking back into the house after being past curfew.

Hayli slowly opens the door, trying hard not to make a sound, looking left to right seeing if her mother was anywhere to be found. She slowly walks into the house seeing the coast is clear and silently closes the door behind her. Looking at the staiir before her she felt home free. She silently starts to climb the stairs and then she hears her mother clear her thoart behind her.

Hayli turns her face bright red and smile, "Oh...uh, hey mom. I just got home and uh..".

"And you were trying to sneak in without me knowing. You were horrible at it as a teenager and you still are. Moms know everything." Kathy says smirking.

Hayli blushes and smiles, "Yeah, I never was good at it. Anyway, I think Im going to go upstairs to my-"

"And you never was good at hiding secrets from me. I can always tell when something is on our mind. Like I know theres something now. Hayli, please talk to me. Where did those bruises come from?"

Hayli thinks, "Mom, I really don't want to talk about it now okay? Ill tell you but now isn't the best time to.'

"Why not? Hayli please talk to me." Her mother steps forward and grabs Haylis arms and lifts up her sleeve, revealing the bruises painted on her arm. "Did Michael..?"

RING RING RING.

Hayli looks at the phone as her mother lets go of her arms, running down the steps to the phone.

"Hello?" Kathy listens to the phone before her eyes turn to Hayli and she clears her thoart.

"Yes, she here hang on."

Kathy holds the phone out and Hayli comes down the stairs slowly. Reaching out and taking the phone from her mother she puts the phone to her ear. "Hello?"

"Hayli?"

Haylis heart dropped. She felt the world around her spinning and she felt like she was falling through nothing but darkness. All the confidence she had, everything disappeared and she felt small and hopeless.

"Michael...?"
