"Do not fall in love with people like me. I will take you to museums, and parks, and monuments, and kiss you in every beautiful place, so that you can never go back to them without tasting me like blood in your mouth. I will destroy you in the most beautiful way possible. And when I leave you will finally understand, why storms are named after people." ― Caitlyn Siehl

I opened the door, hopping into the warm interior of the car, this time to the passanger's seat. And despite everything I happened to witness tonight, I felt... uplifted. All the worries - even my dangerous, exhausting curiosity of what was wrong with the family - suddenly started making sense. Of course, I still had no idea about why I was so attracted especially to Alice and Jasper, but that seemed as a trifle, in comparison with the great discovery.

"Uhm... hello," I greeted him, not sure what to say.

Jasper breathed in sharply. "Hiya."
Well, that was short, even for his standards.

"How are you doing?" My question came after a while of my looking out of window in silence. Jasper gripped the steering wheel tighter.

"I've been better."

"Okay..." Sighing, I drummed my nails against the leather handrail on the door. Shit. Was I supposed to tell him something? To, perhaps, give him a bit of courage? Still though, there came things I wanted to find out about... you know... vampires and stuff. Was this the right time to ask him? Gosh, I had no idea...

"Fine, listen to me, Jasper," I pronounced in the end. "No one judges you for what you did. You're a... a... vampire and vampires need blood. It's logical that you lost it - even infallible Pythagoras made mistakes!"

Jasper laughed coldly, his eyes chained to the road. I was sure he wouldn't answer, until he stomped on the break pedal, getting out of the car in a blink of an eye. Before I even managed to notice, he was on my side, pulling me out of the vehicle, into the dark woods. I had to say I was starting to panic.

"The only thing you were right in, was that I need blood to survive," he pinned me against a random tree. It hurt as hell and I couldn't get rid of the image of a lamb that ran straight into lion's pit. Was there any place for me to escape to?

"W-what are ya doing?!" I tried to get out of his steely grip, however - again - he proved that it was impossible, "Let me go, you loon!"

"Not until you understand how dangerous I am!" He snapped back. His hands then released me, as I finally felt the ground under my feet. I was cold, I was frightened, and the fact that Hale had been acting like a madman wasn't helping.

He crouched a bit, jumping into the air, landing good ten meters away. Bowing down to a huge, surely heavy boulder, he lifted it up with only one of his palms, as if it was as light as a feather. Afterwards, he ran - or rather flied - over to an oak tree, lifting it from the ground (with its roots), throwing it far away. If someone cares about what I had been doing by then, stunned staring would be the right words to describe it.

"Alright!" I whimpered, "I get it! You could kill me without blinking..."
That wasn't very pleasant, but it was the truth.

Hale suddenly appeared right in front of me, observing me carefully. It was funny, how his presence made my heart beat faster, even though he had just showed what he was capable of.

"So?" Jasper rustled darkly. "Will this make you stay away from us?"

I breathed in to talk, yet, nothing came out of my mouth. I was lost - again, in his beautiful, golden eyes. Fuck, not now! I still had to focus on freakin' talking! "No."
