This story starts like many, many others - the noise of an alarm clock followed by a slam on the snooze button. Cliché yes, and I know that alarm clocks like that don't really exist any more, but bear with me. I have a radio alarm. Unfortunately, the snooze button turns out to be the volume dial, and I flop out of bed like a dead fish and fumble around, desperately trying to turn off the music blaring into my ears. When that's done, I grab the first outfit I find (just jeans and a shirt), and make my way down to the kitchen. Glad that the rest of my family somehow slept through my alarm, I get my lunchbox out and give up on trying to throw my own lunch together, and stumble to the living room, and grab my Dad's computer. Quite a normal morning, for the 10% of which I actually am woken by my alarm and don't have to run for the bus like a madman.
School isn't super boring, but nothing interesting happens. I rushed again to copy down the math homework from my friend, promising myself to actually remember to do it that even. It's not that I'm bad at math, which I'm acutually a few years ahead of my age in, it's just that I'm distracted by other things (youtube, Portal, Minecraft, etc.) y'know, the important things in life. All the other classes went fine, so yeah, just a normal day. I get home, grab my math folder and a pencil, and go downstairs to get on the computer for my math book. I get sidetracked, and end up with the TV (surprise). My little siblings left it on the Disney Channel, on which they were previously watching Mickey Mouse. I get bored of the recordings we have, and I'm about to turn it off when I notice what's on. The first thing I hear that catches my ear is "mermaid". I end up rewinding and watching a whole movie. I don't enjoy is much, as it's mostly a teenage boy being awkward, but it's about mers, so I manage. I get up and shut off the TV, deciding to gt to my work. I wait for my book to load, and decide to get up a vido to listen to in the background. I start to go to my usual youtubers, but then decide to look for a mermaid show, inspired by my lucky timing. Youtube is useless thanks to copywrite claims and whatnot, so I try Hulu, which I had never really done before. THen I find it: H2O- just add water. I faintly remember the title, as in the past I had seen and ignored it. The rest of the night alternates between math and watching H2O. I laugh at how completely rediculous the magic aspects are, but enjoy it overall.
The next afternoon goes pretty much the same, execpt without the movie. When I get done with the math, though, something pops into my mind- "What if I could become a mermaid". I have definitaly thought this before, but I had never had the internet, so I give it a try. Google can do miraculous things, and it sure did for me. I find something that just sounds beautiful to the ears for me, that gives me a new, rekindeled hope. "Magick Spells- become a real mermaid".
