CH 07 Message

When I watch out the black cloaks come closer and closer, I smell something that distract me. I know this smell and I don't like it. I can't remember but this smell is so strong. I always sense at alchemy and weaponry room. Oh damn, we were surrounded by a black powder.

"Testudo !!!" I sound my army and they try hard to follow the formation as they could. Suddenly almost twenty members of the Black Cloak came out of the forest and use their gun to shoot us down. They shoot us down mercilessly without thinking anything. The sounds of explosion make our horses run away without direction.

"AARRGGHH!!!" I heard my men scream and I saw four of them were shot down by them. We make it in time to shield up like a tortoise. We were being ambush by them. They shoot us countless time. We were lucky that we have heavy shield that hard to be penetrated. We all inside the shield except my five men who were shot down. "Hold and stand back!" I command them and we were slowly step behind to get out from being surround.

We step by step retreat while I look up from the hole when we had escape from enemy circle. I can hear our horse screaming a hundred meters from battle. Some our horses didn't run far away. "Shield Wall!" we open the shield like tortoise and change the formation to become a wall.

After they out bullet, they changed their attack from range attack to melee attack. In that time, we can counter attack when they charge. "Range offense!" all our archer fires the arrow but only 5 people were hit. They not soldiers, look from the speed and weapon skill its more look like assassin.

"Charge!" that's the final option when the black cloaks closer to us. We fight like a wind but they fight like a thunder. They so fast in their weapon skill, durability and agility that makes hard for us to kill them. I fight them until I hear woman voice speak to me at my back. When I look my back, the voice that I heard apparently is one of the black cloak army.

"It's been a long time, Mirasha." I'm shocked and I try to attack her but she easily avoids my attack. "How lovely you are." She speaks while avoiding my attacks. I keep swinging but it's all wasted. I feel like she can read my movement, stance and attack. I still not give up, I keep swinging my sword until she parries it and my sword were flung away.

After that, she suddenly stands beside me and she said "We all waiting for you." She said while laughing to me. After she speak to me, all the black cloaks step back and retreat. I kneeling on the ground like I lost my soul. We all feel relieve when the black cloaks retreat.

I look my army take care injury friends and clean up the battle. I look up the rest of army, I can tell that half of my army dead than to them. A hundred of my army versus twenty-three of them. But this is my first battle, my first experience and many things that I need to learn.

"We all waiting for you." This message always playing at my head. Many questions in my thought thinking about this message. Furthermore, she said like she had known me very well before but who. Who are you actually. When I thinking deeply, more and more confusing in causing I got headache.

I must find the answers. If I want to find it, I must follow their steps. Track down all clues that they had been left. I start my search with enemy dead body first. When I check up the enemy body, I found out that they are one of the rebel's army which I found the symbol at their body. I also take their well-made gun to know who create this gun. So, that's all the evidence I found that will help me. That is my decision.

When talk about steps, they retreat to the west gates. Maybe I can find the answers there. But when I look the situation that I face, I can tell that my force will fall back to the castle. I can't bring this injured army to the west stronghold. I must do something.
