Chapter 5:Sakura's Story

Sorry.I have so much stuff I don't have time.I have exams coming up in two weeks so I won't be around for a while.

Sumiya’s P.O.V.

Rest?Great.If you count resting as sleeping in a room of a great big empty house.It seriously gave me the creeps.And Sakura didn’t even complain when Samuru told her to sleep alone in some other room.Alone,I tell you.Is she some sort of supergirl?

I laid back on my pillow and tried to close my eyes but too many questions remained on my mind.Why was this…thingy(What do they call it?) revealed to us only now?Why am I a Master(of the Earth)?I mean,well,even if Sasword is an Earth animal,isn’t the lion the ruler of the Earth?Come to think of it,maybe Hugo isn’t a good idea.But isn’t there Bearga?Why me of all people?

After tossing and turning for an hour or so,I fell asleep.

Sakura’s P.O.V.

I looked into the distance and sighed.No point sleeping when you can’t even clear your head.

“Too many thoughts?”

I whirled around.It was Samuru.

“Hey,that’s my line,”I smirked.

Samuru rolled his eyes,”Anyway,why are you here?”

“Like what you said.Too many thoughts,”I sighed.

Samuru gazed into the distance,silent.Then,he turned back to me,”I never got to know you better.You’re still a mystery to me.Actually,to everyone.There are a couple of questions I want to ask.Why did you reveal  yourself only now?How did you get Drasira?”

I was silent.I gazed up at the stars in the sky.Should I tell him?

“Sakura?”Samuru said,”Sorry…Maybe I shouldn’t-“

“Never mind.The reason I don’t really want to talk about my past is because both my parents died.My father died when I was three.Ever since then,my mother protected me.Because she was scared…”I trailed off.

“Scared of…what?”he enquired.

“Scared that I would also die.She took care of me until I was seven,”I stared of into space,”She died mysteriously.She went into the forest and never came out.They found her body near a village near my house.She was murdered.Ever since then,my brother was very protective of me.He didn’t want me to reveal myself to the world.Especially my B-Daman skills.But I had to step into the world sometime.If not now,later.So I promised him to reveal myself when I am fifteen.And here I am…”

I turned back to him,”Well,to how I got Drasira,well,I just got her.”

That wasn’t the exact truth.

Flashback(Part 2)

I opened my eyes.In front of me was a strange-looking object.(I didn’t know much about B-Daman at that time)

Suddenly,the object spoke,”Hello,Sakura Kurochi.I am Drasira,the Dragon of Light.”

I sat there,frozen.”What are you?”I mumbled.

“A B-Daman,”She answered simply,”And I will be your partner for the rest of your life.”

What does she mean?B-Daman?Partner?

“I see that you are confuse.Well,you are the Chosen One.I chose you to be my partner,”She explained.

“What!Why?”I asked.

‘You ask to many questions.How about I answer them as we go along,training and battling together?”She laughed.

I smiled at her and picked her up.She was a beautiful pure-white B-Daman.And she had black eyes,like me.

“Hey,sis!What’s that?”

I jumped.It was my nine-year-old brother,Basura Kurochi.He smirked down at me from a tree.(He was mischievous when he was a kid.Now…)

“Where did you get that?”he asked,jumping down from a tree.

“Uh…she fell on me,”I answered,not knowing what to say.

He laughed,”Well,then show me how she does in play.I always wanted to see a B-Daman battling.”

He grabbed my hand and dragged me home.Mother was scarcely surprised.I wonder why…

Anyway,since then,me and Drasira trained and battled together and she became my best friend.

Samuru’s P.O.V.

I felt that there was something she would not tell me.Something  about herself.But her story does have a bit of truth.I could sense it.

“Can I see Drasira?”I asked her.

She jumped.Apparently,she was distracted.

“Uh…sure,”She placed Drasira in my hand.

Dravise gasped.I glanced at him.Why was he like that?Is there something about her that…is different?
