I Love You

Tails looked down and was avoiding Sonic's gaze. "I-I love you, Sonic. Not as a friend or brother, but more!" He almost screamed. Sonic froze at this. His best friend loved him? What should he say?

Tails cried. "I knew it! You don't love me!" His tears streaming down his face broke the hedgehog's heart. Instead of footsteps leaving, Tails felt a hand hold his. "I love you too, Tails" Sonic smiled and Tails looked up. "You are just saying that to make me feel better!" Tails said and Sonic shook his head.

"I'm serious. I love you" he said and kissed the fox's cheek. Tails blushed and smiled at his love. Sonic got up and held a hand out for Tails. The fox smiled and let let Sonic help him up. Tails blushed when Sonic didn't let go of his hand and they walked back to their friends.

The two let go of hands before getting closer to their friends. "You alright, Tails?" Amy asked. "Yeah" Tails smiled and Sonic winks at him.

Knuckles took Tails aside. "You sure your okay?" Tails nodded. "I can tell Zooey that you are worried she doesn't like you" Knuckles offered and the fox shook his head. "No" Tails said.

Knuckles shrugged and they all walk in his house. Night fell and everyone went to sleep. Tails was still up and it worried Sonic. He walked behind Tails and kissed his shoulder. "Time for bed" he said.

Tails nodded and followed his love to the beds. Sonic got in the bed and was surprised when Tails joined him. But he shook it off and nuzzled into Tails as they fell asleep.
