chapter 3: my speech

1. Do you ever dream of performing on stage with a huge crowd cheering for you with joy? I have! I would love that dream to become reality. Now, before i start day-dreaming again, i would like to talk to you about music. How you can get involved and what impacts it has.

2. Someone once asked me "Why do you love music so much?" my answer could have been as easy as "Because it's who i am." but i wanted them to know how much i really do love music so i answered "Because it is the only thing that stays when everything and everyone is gone." I strongly encourage all of you to get involved in music. Why? Well, students that have early musical training will develop the areas of the brain related to language and reasoning. The left side of the brain is better developed with music, and songs can help imprint information on young minds.

3. Did you know that behind everyones favourite song is an untold story? For example: wake me up when september ends by green day. The video of the song made many people believe it had hidden connotations about war. Actually , however the song was written in memory of lead singer; Billy joe Armstrong's father, who died when he was a child. "Like my father's come to pass, twenty years have gone so fast, wake me up when september ends."

4. Music isnt my hobby, its my pasion. I think it should be yours too. i used to be very shy. Music changed my life! If you give it a shot, it could change yours too. This quote goes out to you music:

5. There is a lot of types of music out there. For example: Rock, Folk, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Hip Hop, country etc. I know i am personally Rock but my question is: what one are you? This year i have been accepted into everything music has to offer. What have you been selected into? I've meet lots of new people in the music room and hey! Maybe i could meet one of you one day! I'm sure Mr. Venimore would love some more company! I know that it has changed my life forever. It could change you too!
