Chapter 3: Much needed
THE WEEK PASSED in a blur, no texts from Ivan, and the occasional flirting with Calvin. He was so sweet, and cute...and perfect. He said he planned to kidnap me and take me out next week. Secretly, I was kind of excited for it. It's been so long since a guy has actually shown interest in me romantically. I was use to Ivan's on again off again bull, I almost felt like a booty call to him.
I lit up a smoke as I sat on the couch drifting in my thoughts. Vanessa came down stairs with sex hair and a sweater falling off her shoulder, her shorts barely visible showing off her long legs.
"Geez what time is it?" She moaned, her hand on her forehead, most likely from the throbbing head ache of her hangover she always had.
"Around three in the afternoon." I said, hitting my smoke and blowing it out slowly.
She poured herself a shot, and quickly took it and jumped on the couch next to me.
"Can I have one?" She asked eyeing my cigarette.
I took out my pack and handed her one, and my lighter.
We sat in silence, smoking, enjoying our free time.
"Where's Ivan?" She said not looking at me.
Vanessa knew about our relationship's rise and falls. She wasn't nosy, and never really gave me advice on my relationship. It was probably because she couldn't keep one herself.
"Around, most likely." I said, my voice laced with anger.
My phone buzzed, Calvin was calling me. Vanessa glanced down at my phone and smirked.
"Gonna answer that?"
"Later." I said, hitting decline.
"Girl, you know you fine. That's all I got to say bout' it. Do you, don't let no man hold you down if they ain't willing to claim you as theirs."
I was shocked, but then again she was probably tired of my constant bickering with Ivan.
"Well, you know that boy that just popped on ya phone is fine. You need you a nice piece of ass, who ain't an ass." She smirked, finishing her smoke and trudging upstairs without another word.
I contemplated her words, and started texting Calvin with a smile on my face.
"We're going to the club tonight!" Shouted Vanessa from upstairs, and the shower turned on.
Later that night, I was all dolled up in a short cheetah printed dress, with tall black pumps. My hair looked good, and make up was on point.
As me and Vanessa entered the club, we immediately hit up the bar, getting two shots each, downing them.
"This is gone be a good night boo." She smirked, eyeing the array of men.
To her, a club was a candy store, but instead of candy she was shopping for a boy toy that she could play with for the night.
She took my hand, pulling me in the middle of the dance floor and we grinded on each other while the men stared at us. I could see their crave for us in their body language, in their eyes.
We both smiled, knowing we looked good.
I caught eye with a guy sitting at the bar, Calvin.
He looked too fine, a tight fighting white shirt and fitted jeans with Jordans on. He eyed my body's gracious curves.
"Don't look now, but there's that guy that called me earlier." I said into Vanessa's ear.
She smiled following my gaze anyways, "You know what you gotta do."
She turned around, snatching a guy and started dancing on him. The guy was more than happy to have her attention.
I walked up to the bar taking a seat next to Calvin and ordered a drink.
"I gotta give it to you girl, your more than gorgeous." He said, but I didn't glance his way. A smirk played on my lips as I drank the drink served to me.
"Stop with the compliments, if you ain't mean it."
"Honey, I more than mean it."
I looked him in the eyes, and could tell he was telling the truth. He wanted me.
I grabbed his hand and led him to the dance floor.
We enjoyed each other's company, dancing with each other, looking into one another's eyes. The chemistry was amazing, and my lust was growing more and more by the second. My lips drifted close to his cheek, and I moved them close to his lips. I looked up at him, and the desire in his eyes was raging.
Suddenly, we were pulled apart.
"Bro, back up off lil' ma." West, one of Ivan's friend shouted in Calvin's face.
"Woah, hold up. You need to back up." I said shoving West to the side.
He glared down at me, "Is this how you play now?"
"Sweetie, you already know how he plays." I said lashing out at him, and took Calvin by the hand leading him away from West.
We were back at the bar, and I was ordering various shots. My heart was racing with anger. He didn't even have to be around to somehow ruin my night. Why he gotta have his friends watching me? I can't have fun, but he can. Thoughts were racing through my mind.
The drinks were catching up to me as I tried to get up, but stumbled.
"I gotta get you home." Calvin said catching me in his arms.
I told him my address, and we walked me to me door. Vanessa would be okay, because she didn't plan on coming home tonight. If you catch my drift.
As Calvin opened the door, I stumbled inside pulling Calvin in with me. I slammed the door and threw him on the couch.
"Woah there." He was caught by surprise.
I took this opportunity to climb on top of him seductively. His eyes went wide, but I also could tell he was debating something. He probably thought this would be considered taking advantage of me. In my mind, I wanted him to. I needed this.
I grabbed his lips with mine, and for a moment he didn't kiss back. It took him a minute, but his desire for me gave in and he kissed me back with a passion I almost forgot existed.
We kissed each other hungrily, my thoughts were on one thing, him. He grabbed me and flipped me so he was on top. His hands drifting across my body, as I moaned out in want.
Suddenly, just as it begun it stopped. He got off me, his eyes fiery with want.
"I gotta go." Was all he said, and he left in a hurry.
I sat on the couch, rejected and hurt. Was I unable to be wanted? Tears stung in my eyes, but I held them back.
Somehow, I managed to stumble up the stairs, and put my phone on the charger before passing out.
