Pre-school
Conner has been talking with cat eye girl for a week now, and he's never learnt her name.He's embarrassed. He knows it's too late to ask. He'd kill her, or leave one of those painful bumps on his head.
"You know Mason, right?" Cat-eye nods to what he's saying, not paying attention.
"He's such a mean person. He said I was looking off his paper when we were doing that Christmas sheet thing, but he was actually the one looking off of mine! Don't you think it's idiotic of him? He never thinks of other people's feelings. He was staring at you today too! It was so gross. It almost gave me goosebumps. I mean, he thought he could get you! Just look at how ugly he is! He's acting like such a mean person. He always ignores me, too. It makes me feel insignificant in his little world of Merry Merry Fairytale."
Cat-eye doesn't respond.
"You there?"
Cat-eye shakes her head, seemingly off in her Merry Merry Fairytale.
"Have you ever called me by my name?"
Conner freezes, face gone pale.
"Your name? Yeah! Of course!"
Albany squints. "What's my name?"
Silence.
Albany laughs, and Conner goes bright red. Not because her laugh gave him a weird feeling.
"You idiot! "
"I-"
"Albany."
"Huh?"
"It's Albany. It's partially my fault for not telling you. I thought you heard my name whenever the teachers called me, or something."
"I-i- Albany?"
Albany slowly nods.
"Capital of New Jersey?"
Albany flicks his forehead.
"You mean New York. The capital of New Jersey is Trenton."
His mouth forms an 'O', and Albany flicks him in the forehead once again.
"Orange-haired idiot."

Middle school (current time)
The two of them decided to go to Starbucks after school.
Starbucks was right outside their school, making it a popular destination for students to go to after school.
They both planned it out on text the day before. Conner had texted Albany complaining about how lonely he would be tomorrow.

CUNTner: feel some sympathy for me plz i have nothing to do and all my friends are busy ☹️☹️
CUNTner: i have notjing to do i will be so lonely. my mom is too lazy to take me out so ill have nothing to do for the whole day lol i hate this 😑😫😓
