Several weeks passed and Brandi and me grew closer together as fast as Abril and I grew apart. I excelled in school thanks to Olivia's tutoring. As it turns out, Brandi's father was a famous lawyer. Brandi was over at my house again on a friday after school. My father was out of town for the weekend.
"Aaaaaaamory!" Barndi called from the kitchen.
"What!?" I yelled back, i was laying on my couch in the living room.
"Where's the popcorn?!"
"Left upper cabinet!"
There was a lengthy pause.
"Amory!"
"Yeah?" I yelled.
"I can't find it!"
I rolled my eyes.
Brandi wouldn't be able to find her nose if it wasn't stuck to her face. I groaned and heaved myself up from the couch and walked into the kitchen.
Brandi grinned at me sheepishly.
"Well I got up for this , might as well make it good."I said.
Brandi rolled her eyes.
"Oh yes, 20 feet is soooooo far" She said. We laughed.
I opened the cabinet and took out the popcorn.
"Can you look in the drawer over there for peanuts and m&ms?" I asked.
Brandi nodded and took out the desired items. I put the popcorn in the microwave and went back to the living room to watch tv.
I flipped through the chanels. Bleh. Nothing on. I settled on disney chanel. The suite life on deck. Yes, I still watch disney. In my mind, you are never to old for it.
Brandi brought out the popcorn with the m&ms and peanuts mixed in.
"Disney chanel?" She asked, eyebrow arched.
"Yep!" I said cheerily.
"Haha! I watch it still too!" Brandi grinned. "Wanna go upstairs?" She asked
"Sure" I said, and hopped up from the couch and turning the tv off.
We sat on my bed in my room, talking about school and eating popcorn.
"Hey, what's this?" Brandi asked lifting a scrapbook off my bedside table. "J.J. and Moe," She read off the cover. She looked up at me and wiggled her eyebrows. "This looks interesting." She opened it to the first page.
A picture of a baby me and a baby J.J. peered out. The second page: me and J.J at two and three.
"Who is this?" She asked and looked up at me.
"J.J." I smiled at the two five year olds that looked up from the tenth page.
"And who is J.J.?"
"Jason John Williams, my best friend until we turned twelve and he moved to NY. His dad is the owner of a major company. We still talk. I miss him alot."
Brandi hit me with a pillow.
"Ow! What was that for?" I said while laughing.
"Why didn't you ever tell me about him!?"
"I don't know..."
"I need to meet him or talk to him or something!"
"Why?"
"Cause he's an important peice of your life!"
"How could you know that?"
"Well, to start with you have this book right by your bed, and the way you said his name."
