"What should I wear!?" I cried flinging thing after thing out of my closet and onto my bed. I turned around, throwing my hands in the air. "What should I wear?!" I asked again.
"I dont know, how bout clothes?" J.J. said, he was laying on my bed, throwing a yellow ball in the air and then catching it.
"You're so helpful." I said dryly.
"Got that right!" He said. He got up and walked over to me.
"I need something good to wear!"
He kissed me on the forehead.
"You'll look great no matter what you wear" He said, then walked out of the room.
I sighed. Despite what Jason said i knew i needed to find something good, David was gonna be at the party and unfortunately so was Abril. I needed to be stunning. So i did the best thing i could think of: i called Brandi.
"Hello?" Brandi's voice was groggy.
"Brandi? Did i wake you up? It's almost 11 why are you still in bed?" I asked
"erm...i dont know...just....tired....i guess." And then in the background i heard:
"Who is it babe?" Brants voice.....Brants voice?!?!?
"Why is Brant in your room!?! In the morning!?! When you've been sleeping!?!" I said, moments away from a freak out.
"Uhhh...he...uhh....spent the night.." I could hear the blush in her voice.
"Did you have sex with him!?!"
There was no response from the other end.
"Brandi!?!" I screamed into the phone
"Yeah...maybe..."
"Do you regret it?"
"No....."
"Well then i guess theres that."
"Yep. So did ya need somethin, Ames?"
"Yeah, I um, dont know what to wear.." I said, embaressed.
"To Olivia's party tonight?"
"Yeah, that."
"Just wear jeans and that one red silky shirt! It makes you look hot!"
"Ok! Thanks, Brandi!"
"Buh bye, Ames"
"Seeya" I said and hung up.
"Did you find something to wear?" Jason called from down the hall
"Yep!" I yelled back
"Great!"
"Uhuh"
At 4 in the afternoon, i was ready to go! I had the jeans and silky red top on. With just a bit of dark make up, i have to admit, i looked good.
"Are you ready to go, Moe? Haha, i made a rhyme" Jason said.
"Congrats, youre a genius." I said jokingly poking him.
"Yes, yes i am."
We went out to Jason's car and he drove us to Olivia's beach house. There were tons of cars in the driveway and spilling out onto the street. We parked and went into the giant house, music in the air from a number of different stereos.
"Amory!!!" Olivia tackled me.
"Olivia!!!" I said, hugging her back.
"I'm so glad you could come!!" She gushed.
"Me too!"
"Well i gotta go do the hostess thing" She said rolling her eyes "TTFN"
"Later" I called as she bounced away.
I grabbed J.J.'s hand and dragged him though the house in search of Brandi.
"Ames!" I spun around upon hearing her voice.
"Hey girl!" I said
She was dragging Brant behind similarly to the way i dragged Jason.
"We have to talk!!" She said, eyes shining.
"Yes! We do! Why dont we let the boys get to know each other"
"Ok! Brant, Jason, Jason, Brant!" Brandi said, brightly.
"Hey, so your Amory's boyfriend?" Brant asked while shaking Jason's hand. Jason smiled,
"No, just an old friend"
"Uhuh. Sure." Brant said, the two of them walked away.
"Ok, what's the story!?" I asked Brandi. She glanced around.
"I'll tell you later. But Amory! It was wonderful, he said he loved me and he was gonna marry me some day! He's gonna take me from my awful father and we'll build a life together!"
"Awwwwww! That's so sweet!
"I know right!!" She gushed
Abril walked past "accidently" elbowing me in my side, hard. I gasped and doubled over trying to breath.
Brandi death glared her, gray eyes cold.
"Lets go outside" Brandi said.
We made our way outside and Brant, David, and Jason joined us. There was a dock that looked slightly old and eerie.
"Let's go out on it" Brant said pointing towards it. Everyone shrugged and we went out on the dock. we reached the end of it and looked down into the dark blue water.
"It's beautiful" I said. Everyone nodded. David came up from behind me and put his arms around me. I let him get away with it cause i didnt want to ruin the moment.
"How cute." Abril sneered . We hadnt noticed that Abril and her posse had followed us. I shrugged off her comment, who cared what she thought. Not i.
David stepped back away from me. I went to the edge of the dock and looked into the water.
All of the sudden I i felt hard sudden pressure on my back and i was falling! I felt the coolness of the water around me and then sharp pain bloomed in my temple
and
everything
went
black!
