Edit: the reason i made my "HAPPY (AU)" was because of the user who requested it. The user was kind and polite, they were even willing to help me write! I was so touched someone took the time to privately message me about my story and I felt as if it was right because that person was someone who was understanding and they were actually polite when asking. (sorry for never seeing yr message till like a week later lol)
don't fucking complain if things don't go your way. i'm sick of looking through my notifs and having to see all you people complaining. I get the comment section is meant to voice opinions, but you all are just bitching over the ending. If you want a happy fanfiction, you can go and find one of the million of happy ladynoir fanfics. don't comment on my story to bitch and moan about how things didn't go your way.
Do you know what my goal is? A story isn't a carbon copy of all those happy ML fanfictions. A story that stood out. A story that doesn't end with just happiness. Because in their world, the danger is real. They are putting their lives on the line when fighting. Those are upset about Adrien dying, okay. I can understand if he was like one of your favorite characters. But if you're just going to bitch and moan about how Marinette ended up with freaking Nathaniel, here's a new flash.
Not always do things go the way we want. More often than not, the unexpected happens. The danger they put themselves in; that will always mean they are risking death. Before you start saying how I'm heartless for killing Adrien, think. Adrien is a character who would risk anything to save Marinette. With the situation, they were in, it would be pushing it to have him survive. That would just be so all you guys could be satisfied. That's not why I write stories. I write to satisfy myself, not you all. I write to release my ideas. I want to write to let my ideas reach other people. But that doesn't mean those ideas have please said, people.
Now I'm going to start addressing common comments made on my story.
"OMG how could u make my adrien die i'll kill u!!!!"
That's an exaggeration. Kind of. I sorta already explained this earlier, but I can go a bit more in-depth. First, many of the stories I write do have deaths in them. This is mainly to advance the plot or to have a realistic story ending. In this scenario, it's the latter. This ending was kind of planned to begin with. It would be a good way to show Marinette's and Adrien's true sides and their feelings. Maybe it was a bit rash of me to just kill him, and the way it happened was kind of really stupid, but that doesn't change the point. This story demonstrates the danger they have to go through on a regular basis. I do like this show. I do like Adrien. But to make a story, you put feelings aside. You write what you think would happen. If this happened, then this could happen! Then this event could then happen!. It's a chain reaction. But it's all to make a story that comes out naturally to you, the writer. To sum it up, I killed him to show the danger of their world and allow the reader to see a realistic situation unfold before them. If you do not think that situation is realistic, get off Wattpad because you're probably 12.
"ew omg like wtf its tomato head he should die adrienette 4 life xoxoxoxo"
FIRST, I LIKE NATHANIEL GUYS. HES A COOL CHARACTER WITH THE POTENTIAL TO BECOME SOMETHING MORE. ok. For starters, I'll let you know that I've actually explained the reason for this in the comments. But of course, it's not like you guys actually care about any of the stuff I comment. hahahahahahhahahah *looks at comments I replied to that have never gotten replies* anyways, this was not originally planned. If you want the original ending, it's basically her visiting his grave before touching it and crying. And that was it. Wow what an ending !!!1!1!!1 but look, if I were to have an ending like that, it would completely ruin the whole realistic thing I was going for. If she were to mourn Adrien for the rest or her life, that would be obsessive and honestly sad. I understand if you've married someone and have spent at least 5 years together as a couple. That would make reluctancy make sense. because you've gotten so attached to said person and probably would be in shock over your spouse dying. Marinette is not married. She's not even dating Adrien. She's a 14 year old with a crush. To get hung up for the rest of her life is extremely unrealistic. The most realsitic ending would be for her to be able to move on and find a new love. Of course, that doesn't mean she would forget her first crush, but that way, she's happy. Nathaniel is meant to serve as a person who helps assure the audience that Marinette is able to find happiness. And if you don't think Marinette should be happy and continuously mourn Adrien, you have problems.
"i cant belive u killed adrien go kill yourself"
I would but I don't want to burden my family with the funeral costs.
