A TRIP TO WONDERLAND

Chapter 8

Josh's pov
"Are you sure your sis did not go home?"phoebe asked me.
"Am pretty sure she didn't go home,how will she go home?,she doesn't even have money"i replied.
But i won't blame phoebe for asking that question because we've been looking for chloe and there's no sign of her anywhere.

"Man,is this amusement park this big?"i asked with my hands on my waist and my face faced upward.

"C'mon lets just look for her"phoebe said as she tried to drag me along.

"Where?"i asked as i pulled my hand away from her light grip.

"Where haven't we looked for her?,we've practically searched this whole park,look i know she's my sister and am supposed to be worried and all but am really tired and hungry"i added.

Phoebe smiled and said"am also hungry and tired,okay why don't we go buy something and eat like a hotdog or burger and maybe a lemonade or something".

I nodded in approval.
"C'mon lets go eat am starving"phoebe said as she held my hand and took me to the hotdog stand nearby.

Unknown pov
I arrived at my booth just to see my mirror lying on the ground and in a different spot from where i left it and the little girl was gone.

I picked up the mirror.
"Where's the little girl?"i asked the mirror.

"I sent her to a better place".

"What!!!"i shouted but then i looked around and saw that people where giving me weird looks and stares so i just smiled and took the mirror to the back of the booth.

"What do you mean you sent her to a better place?"i asked.
One day am going to get myself into big trouble because of this mirror.

"I sent her to the place she had always wanted to go"

"Where exactly did you send her to?"

"To wonderland"

"What!!"i shouted once more.
"Quiet down"the mirror said.
"Do you want someone to come here and see you talking to a mirror?"

I breathed in--i do that to calm myself.

"Why would you send her to wonderland of all places?"

"Because she wished for it besides wonderland is not that bad of a place"

I breathed in again.
"Is not that bad?,can you hear yourself?,cartoons make that place look like a happy place but it's definitely not a happy place".

"What's so bad about wonderland?"

"To get out of that place, you need to find the enchanted door and to find that door is really had because it changes position and also if you stay in wonderland for more than 5 days, you are trapped in there and also the time is different,a day in wonderland is 3 days here and did i forget to mention that THERE'S AN EVIL MAGICIAN WHO WILL DO EVERYTHING AND WHAT IT TAKES TO GET OUT WONDERLAND!!!!!"i said as i shouted the magician part.

"Quiet"the mirror said

"Am just freaking out" i said.

"And yes i see you point anyway life goes on"

I tried my best not to scream but inside me i was screaming.

"What are you trying to say?"

"Lets just pretend and act normal who knows she might come back".

"That's a bad idea"

"Do you have a better idea?"

"Ok fine lets just act and hope she comes back".

I sighed and silently prayed that the little girl comes back.
Josh's pov
After the light snack,me and phoebe kept on searching for chloe. My feets were seriously acheing me.

"This is worthless"phoebe said.

I brought out my phone and checked the time.
It was 3pm and the amusement park closes by 5pm.

"Oh my God we just have 2 hours left"i said as i ran my hand through my hair.

"C'mon lets just continue looking for her"phoebe said.
I showed chloe's pic to almost every one in the amusement park but there was still no sign of her.

As we searched for chloe,we bumped into the rest.
Asher, Teddy, Richard and Lucy.
"Hey guys"i said.

"Hi"they said simultaneously except lucy. She just nodded her head.

"You guys look tired"richard said.

"Yeah that's because we have been searching this whole amusement park for chloe"phoebe replied.

"Maybe we can help you"lucy said.
I stared at her in disbelief and so did the rest. Lucy hardly offers help to any one.

"What??"she asked.

"Am not a monster"she added.

"Oh sorry lets split up in two's"i said.

"But how can we contact each other?"teddy asked.

"Through our phones duuuurh"asher said as he brought out his phone.

"Wait have you tried calling chloe?"richard asked.

"Yes and she isn't picking"i answered.

"You guys don't get me how are we gonna contact each other in case we get lost or something?"teddy asked once again.

"We use our phones teddy"i answered.

"Okay lets try this,lemme act as if am calling you"teddy said as she brought out her phone.

"Hello josh"

I sighed and brought out mine.

"Hello teddy"

"Josh am lost where are you?"

"Am close to the booth that sells cotton candy----- i see your point" i said as i placed my phone back in my pocket.

"Lets just forget........"guys look"i said as i interrupted asher.
I spotted a bracelet lying on the ground about 10 feets away for me.

I went forward and picked up the bracelet. It was lying close to a booth.

"This bracelet belongs to chloe and you can tell by the sea shells that are decorated all over it and the letter C which stands for chloe"i said as i went to meet the others.

"That means chloe was here"phoebe said with delight.

"C'mon maybe this man knows something"richard said as we walked over to the booth.

"Hello"i said to the man who was in the booth. At first i thought he didn't hear me since his back was faced toward me. So i tapped on his back gently and he gasped and looked at me. It was as if i jolted him from his thought.

"Uum...can....i...help..you..boy"he said.

I quickly scanned his appearance. He looked unkept. He looked like a trickstar. But as they say 'don't judge a book by it's cover'.

"Hi am looking for a little girl chloe"i said.

"She's of average height,not that tall"asher said.

"Brown hair"teddy added.

"Slim but not that slim"phoebe added.

"Wore a yellow top with a girl drawn on it"richard said.

"Blue jeans with a blue jacket"lucy added.

"And she's fair in complexion"i said.
"Have you seen her?,wait let me show you her pic"i added.

I brought out my fone and showed him her pic.

"No...no...no i h.h.ha.v.ve n.n..not s..s.seen h.h.hher"he stammered.

"Okay"i said downhearted.
I don't know why i feel this way,but there's something fishy.

"C'mon josh lets go, we need to find chloe"richard said.

I turned to leave but then i heard a voice which made me stop.
