You ever fall in love with a queen?

For a Meif'wa like her, she thought that wasn't possible.

But it was.

Michi stared at Sasha for a time that she was pretty sure was unhealthy, even for her. She just couldn't help but be in awe of the shadow knight woman she'd been traveling with for years. Bit by bit, what started as being prison mates, turned into something a little more personal.

The way her grey hair rose lightly as a light breeze came by. The way her purple eyes shined with satisfaction after fighting a battle. How sun-kissed skin is shown off to everyone, and how she doesn't have a care in the world.

As much as Michi bragged about herself, she had to admit; she couldn't compete with Sasha's perfectness.

"Michi?"

She shook her head. "Ah! Yes, Sasha~nyan?"

"Are we... gonna leave? Or are we gonna keep standing out here until our legs give out?"

Michi looked down at the Meif'wa sprawled out on the ground. Their tongues lolled out of their mouths, eyes filled with stars. Right. Faced with pathetic attempts to be taken advantage of, these Tu'la natives will be waking up with a few not-so-pretty decorations on their faces.

"Leave? Ah, yes! Leave! These bandits don't deserve our puuurecious time!"

"Great. Cause I'm starving." Sasha grinned. A rare sight to most, but lately, Michi noticed she'd been doing it more often. "You didn't happen to bring any food with us, right?"

"Michi didn't think to do that, nyahaha..." The Meif'wa rubbed the back of her head sheepishly.

"Damn," Sasha pouted, "well, that's fine. I can deal with it for a bit."

"Sasha~nyan, are you sure?"

"I mean, I'm kind of not alive. Least I won't die again from starvation or somethin'. I just get hunger pains like normal people do, and even if it's kind of an annoyance, all I care about, is you."

Michi crossed her arms, and rose an eyebrow.

"You must be craving more than me. I'm still not sure how Meif'wa bodies work, but from the cats I've seen roaming around Tu'la, they must need to eat a lot."

"Well, I mean... HEY!" Michi stomped up to Sasha as she realized. "Meif'wa are NOT cats!"

Sasha gave a smug look. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, it's just cute to see you all pouty."

She thinks I'm cute!

"Hmph! Well, of course you would!" Michi huffed, and took a step toward that stupid gorgeous face of hers. "You big adorable dummy Sasha~nyan--"

As she was about to continueously poke the white haired girl, she was interrupted by the sound of her stomach grumbling.

"But... nya~! It's true, Michi is pretty hungry."

"Let's go then."

It was a bright afternoon. Surprisingly, it didn't take too long to find civilization that wasn't overtaken by Oh'Khasis, but of course, there were freaks who still worshiped the perished prince (their goal being to spread their message of their savior throughout all Regions!), Zane Ro'meave. Although a good distance from it, Michi could faintly hear the cries of many, chanting "We succumb to Oh'Khasis!" and "Bring back the powerful leader, who we fear to this day!"

But she'll take what she can get. The view from the rooftop of this tavern was too wonderful to lose.

Michi ravaged into her sandwich almost instantly. She hadn't eaten since the morning.
