~Blue's POV~
"The outer part of the cell is called a membrane, can anyone tell me what that does to help the cell?" Mrs. Quirk said while scanning the room for anyone to raise their hand. "Isaac! How about you give it a try?" She said smiling to herself because he obviously wasn't paying any attention to what was on the board or what the teacher was talking about.
"uh, the black thing in the middle?" He said pointing to the board.
"Isaac . Where you even paying attention? That's the nucleus! The membrane keeps the bad bacteria out and the good bacteria in."

Isaac and the other students jump up when the bell rings, the room is filled with chairs scratching the tile floor and the stomps of hurried children filled the halls.

"Don't forget your chapter one test is next Friday!" I hear Mrs. Quirk yell as I leave the room with my books pressed against my chest.

"Hey! Weirdo!" I hear a male voice yell behind me, "Do you need help? What's wrong?" He said in a mocking tone.

"For your information I have nothing wrong with me, YOU are the one who needs help!" I say wishing I could shove those words back into my mouth because I'm now on the cold tile, getting the wind knocked out of me.

"Skank!" He says walking away.

"Holy crap! Blue, are you ok?" Nova says running over to me with a worried look on her face as she tries to help me up.

My sweater sleeves are pulled up to my elbows and I quickly pull them back down and grab my scattered books of the floor, when I see someone stepped on my lunchbox, probably crushing all of my food and any chance of me eating.

"God damn it." I mutter to myself. "Thank you, by the way..." I say picking it up and throwing it in the trash.

"Of course!" She says, as we walk

We walk down the noisy hallway, hanging our heads low. The hurtful words hit us like lightning. The kid's whispers of hate go right through us, the usual, "freak, faggot, loser." But all those words don't bother me when I'm with Nova...

Hope you enjoyed!!
