My Sweater String

I wake up at 9:47 and stumble out of my cushiony bed, my bare feet hit the cold, wood floor.

I walk into the bathroom and look at myself in the mirror, "another day, another sleepover at Nova's." I think.

I walk back into my room and pull out my wood dresser drawers to find a blue flower crown, jean shorts, a gray long sleeve shirt with stars on it, and black Converse.

"Perfect." I think, smiling at myself.

I strip to my socks and slip on the star, long sleeve shirt. And pull up the shorts, adjusting my flower crown.

"Blue! Are you ready?" My dad yells throughout the house,

"Yeah! I just need to brush my teeth!" I yell back.

I rush out my door, rolling my eyes as my flower crown gets snagged on my beaded door.

I unwrap it and continue to run across the house to the bathroom and commence to brush my teeth.

      ~time skip to the ride to Nova's~

My soulless eyes blankly stare at the car in front of us, occasionally dragging my eyes onto each car that passed us.

My music playing loudly through my earbuds.

Then I remembered 'It's Nova's  birthday tomorrow.' I had nothing to give her!

Then the most stupid idea popped into my head, 'Maybe... No! She will think I'm a weirdo. But if she likes it.. I don't know anymore.'

"BLUE!"

I snapped my head up, "AH!" I yelled

"Did you hear me?" My dad says,

"N-no, what did you say?" I said quietly.

"I said, turn your headphones down. I can hear the horrible 'rap music' blasting in your ears." He said turning the steering wheel to the right to enter into Nova's apartment complex.

"Hey! Gorillaz is a beautiful band! I say defensively.

"Whatever. We're here." He says dramatically.

What was Blue talking about for Nova's Birthday gift?
Also, sorry I haven't been updating in a REALLY long time, I've just been really caught up in school, friends and drama. Someone get me a plane ticket to Japan, I need a break from the DRAMA!!
