Chapter 5

Riley’s POV

“Oh God these pains kill.” I said sitting in my hospital bed

“How far along is she?” Tammy asked as she ran through the door

“8cm.” Tyler replied

“Yeah baby Brad will be here in less than 10 hours.” She said clapping her hands

2 hours later

“You did great babe.” Tyler said kissing my head

“He looks a lot like you.” I said looking down at my son

“I glad he’s finally here.” he said taking Brad out of my arms

“You know holding Brad makes you look even more sexy.” I said

“How long till we can get you know?” Tyler asked

“Till I’m fully healed, so a couple of months.” I replied

“Where’s my grandson?” Tyler’s dad, Paul, asked

 “Here.” Tyler said passing him to him

“He looks just like you, Tyler.”Paul said

“I know and if he looks like Tyler he’ll end up acting like me.” I said

“That is true.” Jackie said

“Can I see my nephew please?” Cassidy asked

“Just be careful support the head.” Tyler said as Paul handed Cassidy Brad

“He’s so cute.” She said kissing his forehead

“Okay guys let me see my little baby nephew.” Candace said walking into my room

“Cassidy has him.” Jackie said

“Let me see him.” She said

“Be careful handing him over.” I said

“Okay.” Cassidy replied

“This kid is way too adorable to be related to Tyler.” Candace said

“Hey he looks a lot like me and you called him cute.” Tyler said

“Okay guys let’s give Tyler and Riley more time with Brad.” Jackie said handing me Brad from Candace

“You are perfect.” Tyler said sitting down on the bed

“So are you.” I replied

“Can I hold him again?” he asked

“Sure.” I replied Passing Brad to him

6 months later

“Sit still.” I told Brad

He just smiled and continued to giggle and kick his legs.

“Babe I’m home!” Tyler yelled as he walked through the door

“Who’s that?” I asked Brad

Again he just smiled and started to giggle and he put his fingers in her mouth.

“It’s Daddy.” I replied

“Hey buddy.” Tyler said taking Brad out of my arms

“Dada.” Brad said

“Did he just speak?” I asked

“Dada.” Brad said again

“I think he just said Dada.” Tyler said sounding proud

“Shut up.” I said

“What?” he asked grinning

“Don’t rub it in.” I said pointing my finger at him

“Fine I won’t say anything.” He replied

“Nice goal during the game.” I told him

“You watched the game?” he asked surprised

“You sound surprised?” I asked

“Well you’ve been taking care of Brad a lot.” he replied

“Well I can still watch your games.” I told him

“Well I appreciate you watching the games and for being an amazing mom.” He replied

“Aw you are so sweet Ty.” I replied

“I try to be.” He replied

I walked over and kissed him on the lips.

“Dada.”Brad said

“Yeah.” I replied

“He’s getting really good at that.” Tyler said putting Brad down

“Are Brad and Kelsey coming over?” I asked

“Yeah.” He replied

“Okay can you get the plates out and then you can give Brad a bath.” I said starting dinner

“Come here Brad.” Tyler said

Brad crawled over. For Brad being 6 months he was early with a lot of things. I will guarantee that he will be walking in 3 months.

“WAH!” I heard Brad scream as Tyler tried to give him a bath

“Brad your fine. Look here’s your ducky.” Tyler said trying to calm him down

About 20 minutes later Tyler came down with Brad.

“Sounded like you had fun.” I said taking Brad out of his arms

“You forgot to mention he splashed.” Tyler said

“You don’t look wet.” I replied

“Well after I changed him I changed.” He replied

“Hello!” Marchand said as he walked through the door

“Hey.” Tyler said

“Where is my little godson?” Marchand asked

“Dada.” Brad said

 “He can talk?” he asked

“Yeah he started an hour ago.” I replied

“Thanks for the help Brad.” Kelsey said

“We can bring these upstairs into the closet dedicated to Brad’s stuff.”I told her

After bring the stuff to Brad’s room Kelsey and I walked downstairs to find Tyler and Marchand playing with Brad.

“Hate to say it but it’s time for Brad to go to bed.” I said picking him up

“Bye Brad.” Marchand said

 “Wave bye.” I told him and he waved

“Night buddy.” Tyler said kissing his forehead

“Dada.” He said

“Say good night.” I said

I walked upstairs with Brad. I brought him into his room and put him in his crib and he started crying.

“I know buddy. I love you.” I told him and kissed him on the head

“Hey is he okay?” Marchand asked sounding nervous

“Yeah he doesn’t want to go to sleep.” I replied

“Believe me when I’m home this happens every night and you just have to ignore it.” Tyler said

“Well we have a proposition for you guys.” Kelsey said

“Okay.” I said sitting down next to Tyler

“We can take Brad for a night and you and Tyler can have the night to yourself.” she said

 “That sounds nice. Thank you.” I said
